Don’t forget Fox News

  • February 19, 2013

This is in response to William Merrell’s Feb. 13 letter, “Don’t trust media, politicians.”

While I noticed that Merrell mentioned Disney and General Electric in his discussion of the media, he missed Fox News.

The same Fox News that told me about the town that hated Christmas because a man was fined for blocking a sidewalk, but not for collecting for a charity. Or, after the Wall Street meltdown, Fox News said those CEOs deserved bonuses because they were the brightest and the best. They said Jack Welch, the former CEO of General Electric, should be run out of the country and tried for treason because General Electric didn’t pay any taxes. Then, when Welch said that President Obama cooked the unemployment numbers before the election, he was a hero.

So, I’ll have to agree that we could use a little less fluff and a lot more actual reporting on the state of affairs in America.
