Region is being sold out

  • February 21, 2013

Monday’s edition of the Observer-Reporter announced that the last strip of green trees supporting wildlife along Racetrack Road is being developed. I knew this was bound to happen, but the question was, “How soon?”

Recent research indicates that Western Pennsylvania has a higher than average incidence of childhood asthma and that our children are 400 times more likely to seek emergency medical care for this condition.

Could it be the result of the pollution that’s being generated? Could it be the clean air-producing greenery is being destroyed?

Sadly, this one beautiful place to live and raise children is being sold out for money. It will continue to happen until the powers that manipulate move on to another pristine location. We will then be left with decay after the initial traffic gridlock.

Am I the only one who cares?
