Charged in assault: Deno Louis Ely, 33, of 1443 Main St., Burgettstown, was arrested Sunday night by McDonald police for allegedly assaulting Brittany Fodor at his home. The two reportedly got into an argument over alleged provocative messages she had sent on Facebook, police said. He allegedly punched her and kicked her with steel-toed shoes. Ely was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward on charges of simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment. He was placed in the Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.
Seven charged: California police charged seven people with criminal trespass, disorderly conduct and disorderly house ordinance for allegedly having a party Thursday night inside a vacant apartment at 128 Wood St. Charged were Paige Moody, 21, of Clairton; Shareese Asparagus, 21, of West Chester; Devlin McBride, 21, Robert Thornton, 23, and Davida Penn. 20, all of Pittsburgh; and Juwan Mull, 19, and Samuel Dickerson, 18, both of Monessen.
Resisting, other charges: Ronald R. Wright, 46, of Coal Center, will be charged by California police with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness stemming from an incident early Friday in the 100 block of Wood Street. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Joshua Kanalis.
Vehicles entered: California police are reminding residents to lock the doors on their vehicles after items were stolen from several over the weekend. Police also remind residents not to leave valuables in their vehicles.
Public intoxication: Brent Frontino, 22, of Port Allegany, McKean County, was charged by California police with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct after he allegedly was found urinating on Third Street early Sunday.
Boy assaulted twice: A 14-year-old Canonsburg boy was assaulted twice by different people over the weekend, Canonsburg police said. He was first assaulted Saturday as he walked along the railroad tracks near Big Mac Stadium by a 14-year-old boy, who punched him.On Sunday, he allegedly was assaulted by a 16-year-old neighbor. The father of the 16-year-old also faces corruption of minors charges for allegedly giving the 14-year-old beer in December.
Window broken: Karianne Bilsky, of 117 E. Pitt St., told Canonsburg police Friday vandals broke the driver’s side window of her vehicle.
Tire damaged: Phylicia Manes of 601 Valley View Terrace told Canonsburg police Sunday a tire on her vehicle was punctured. Police said charges are pending.
Teen faces charges: A 17-year-old Canonsburg boy was charged with harassment, simple assault and terroristic threats for allegedly assaulting his father and threatening to kill his parents Saturday night. Canonsburg police said a 911 dispatcher got a call about 7:30 p.m. from a woman at 521 Duquesne Ave. who whispered “hurry” before hanging up. Police arrived at the home and learned the boy had hit his father, James Williams, whose head then hit a door. The boy’s mother, Janice Williams, told police her son threatened to kill them.The boy was taken by Washington County sheriff’s deputies to Jefferson County (Ohio) Juvenile Detention Center.
DUI charge: Doneal Marsette, 51, of 526 Valley View Terrace, Canonsburg, will be charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after he allegedly struck a parked car in front of 127 E. College St. Friday night. Canonsburg police said his blood-alcohol content was double the 0.08 percent limit presumed for intoxication.
Wallet stolen: Pai Arun of 2007 Overlook Drive, Canonsburg, told Canonsburg police Saturday his wallet containing identification, credit cards and $5 was stolen while he was in the borough.
Two charged: Adonia Grant, 38, of Zanesville, Ohio, was charged with criminal mischief, and Charles Davis, 44, of Washington, was charged with harassment stemming from an incident early Sunday at Whispering Pines Campgrounds, 1969 Henderson Ave., Canton. State police said Grant allegedly broke a window in Davis’ vehicle. Davis allegedly pushed her to the ground and dumped beer on her.
Assault: George J. Pulaski, no age given, of 1 Reservoir Ave., Charleroi, was charged Friday with aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment after he allegedly beat his 25-year-old son with a wooden bat. State police said George B. Pulaski, while being treated at Mon Valley Hospital, told officers he lives in a trailer on property owned by his father. He said the elder Pulaski does not want him to have people in the trailer. On Friday, however, the younger Pulaski’s girlfriend visited, and he said that about 4:50 p.m., his father came to the trailer and began assaulting him with a wooden bat. The elder Pulaski was released from the county jail after posting a $25,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. March 7 before District Judge Larry Hopkins.
Crash investigated: North Strabane police are investigating a crash about 5:30 p.m. Sunday that knocked over a utility pole on Johnson Road near McBride Road. Township police and firefighters were at the scene for several hours. Additional information was not available Monday.
One injured: Joseph Kolba of 493 Linden Road, North Strabane, was injured Thursday when a vehicle driven by Heidi Cunningham, 41, of 311 Munnell St., Canonsburg, turned into his path from Interstate 79 as he traveled on McClelland Road, North Strabane police said. Her Jeep rolled over. Kolba was taken to Canonsburg General Hospital for treatment.
Faces DUI charge: Tabitha Homme, 25, of 149 Almond Road, Bentleyville, faces a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol after her vehicle sheared off a utility pole just before 7 a.m. Sunday on Route 136 near Linnwood Road, North Strabane police said. She traveled about one-tenth of a mile before her vehicle became disabled.Police said she smelled of an alcoholic beverage. She was taken to Canonsburg General Hospital, where blood was drawn for testing.
Child injured: A 5-year-old Canonsburg girl was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 4:42 p.m. Friday at the intersection of West McMurray and Oakwood roads, township police said. Lilyan Dufalla was bleeding from the nose and was taken to St. Clair Hospital. Another occupant of the same vehicle, Tiffany Treft, 26, was taken to the hospital as a precaution as she is pregnant, police said. The hospital does not release patient information.The girl and Treft live at 522 Euclid Ave., Canonsburg, along with the driver, James Hall, 27, police said.Hall was traveling west on West McMurray Road when his vehicle and an eastbound vehicle operated by Eric Hancock, 24, of 431 Oriel Drive, Hendersonville, collided head-on, police said. Neither driver was injured.
Doors damaged: Diana Pham of Union Valley Apartments, Union, told state police Friday the inside of her doors were damaged. Charges are pending against a Pittsburgh man.
House burglarized: Mary Lou Hohman of Aber Road, Union, told state police Friday that shotguns, rifles, a Kindle and jewelry were stolen from her home.
Wanted in Maryland: Tevin Rahmir Heyman, 20, of 950 Addison St., Washington, was arrested early Sunday by Washington police as a fugitive from justice after it was learned that he is wanted on a warrant by the Allegany County, Md., sheriff’s office. He was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward and placed in the Washington County jail for 30 days pending extradition to Maryland.
Criminal mischief: Two residents told city police an unknown vandal caused property damage to their vehicles near the 400 block of Duncan Avenue this weekend. Kimberly Hargrove of 390 Duncan Ave. said a brick shattered the windshield of her car late Friday night, and Richard Dotts of 400 Duncan Ave. said a brick was used to damage the trunk of his vehicle Saturday afternoon.
