College golf: Cal women finish 12th

California finished 116 over par and finished 12th at the Lady Moc Classic hosted by Florida Southern Tuesday.

Four-time, defending-National Champion Nova Southeastern (Fla.) captured the team title and broke its own tournament record with a score of 16-over 880 (290-300-290). Lynn (Fla.) placed second in the team standings with a 34-over 898 (304-292-302), while Rollins (Fla.) finished third in the 17-team event with a 37-over 901 (297-309-295).

Maria Lopez led the Vulcans and tied for 38th overall with a 22-over 238 (73-81-84). Inez del Rosario shot a 25-over 241 (82-77-82) to tie for 43rd place.
