Chamber of Commerce opening Southpointe office

The Washington County Chamber of Commerce will open a satellite office in Southpointe in mid-March, its chairman said Thursday.

Barron “Pat” McCune made the announcement during the chamber’s monthly breakfast meeting at Southpointe Golf Club.

McCune, who said before the announcement the plan for a second office was discussed by the chamber board for about six months, said the new office at 375 Southpointe Boulevard, will allow the organization to expand its events and initiatives at the mixed use business park, which has become the center of Washington County’s corporate community.

The chamber will continue to staff its main offce in the Washington Trust Building at 20 E. Beau St.
