Farm Bureau conference
Several Washington County Farm Bureau representatives recently traveled to Washington, D.C., for the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau’s National Legislative Leadership Conference. Doug Bentram, John Scott, Jamie Finch and David Bentram attended meetings and discussed various agricultural issues, such as the Farm Bill, agriculture labor, immigration reform, defining waters of the United States in the EPA’s proposed “guidance document” and the Clean Water Act permit to apply pesticides, with Congressmen Tim Murphy and Mike Doyle.
