The following people recently appeared in Washington County Court on criminal charges.
Appearing before Judge Gary Gilman were:
Joseph L. Piatt, 22, of 66 Browntown Road, Avella; possession of a small amount of marijuana; charged March 18 during a traffic stop, in which he was a passenger, on Elizabeth Street, Washington; sentence – 30 days of probation.
Willis C. Walker Jr., 47, of 215 Chess St., Apt. 4, Monongahela; retail theft; charged Aug. 11 for stealing $38 worth of merchandise from a grocery store; sentence – 12 months of probation.
Raymond L. Shrader, 43, of 2576 Alamae Lakes Road, Amity; possession of drug paraphernalia; charged July 20 during a traffic stop at Henderson and Jefferson avenues, Washington; sentence – 6 months of probation.
Jason S. Hillberry Jr., 38, of 2 Pear St., Ellsworth; burglary; charged Aug. 31 for stealing $5,000 worth of metal from a farm at 3155 Martindale Road, Scenery Hill, to sell as scrap; sentence – 3 to 23 months in jail, electronic home monitoring first three months with work release.

Appearing before Judge Katherine Emery were:
Elizabeth J. Walls, 32, of Blacksville, W.Va.; retail theft; charged Sept. 12 at Lowe’s, Strabane Square, South Strabane Township; sentence – 12 months of probation, 50 hours of community service.
James D. Clark, 50, of 13460 Highway 8 Bus. 91, Lakeside, Calif.; criminal trespass, criminal mischief; charged Aug. 7 after he kicked in the door at 316 Main St., West Brownsville; sentence – 9 to 23 months of probation, $100 restitution.
John Camps, 56, of 26 Hill St., Avella; second offense of driving under the influence; charged Oct. 5, 2011, following a vehicle crash at 31 Hill St., Independence Township, with a blood-alcohol content of 0.248 percent; sentence – 5 days to 6 months in jail, 12-month license suspension, $300 fine.
Anthony G. Broadway, 41, of 2005 Apple Drive, Little Elm, Texas; first offense of DUI; charged May 27 during a traffic stop at the intersection of Chestnut Street and Shaw Avenue, Washington, with a BAC of 0.13 percent; sentence – 48 hours to 6 months in jail, 12-month license suspension, $500 fine.
Melissa G. Dapra, 28, of 365 N. Main St., Washington; possession of a controlled substance; charged Dec. 17 in the parking lot of the Beer Stop, Jefferson Ave., Washington; sentence – 12 months of probation.
Mark A. Aloia, 46, of 109 Linnwood Road, Washington; fraudulent plate/insurance, driving with a suspended license; charged July 22 following a traffic stop on West Chestnut Street, Washington, with a fradulent registration sticker and no insurance; sentence – 18 months of probation, $200 fine.
William R. Ley, 33, of 1104 Fabyan St., Pittsburgh; possession of drug paraphernalia; charged July 30 following a traffic stop on Interstate 79 north, Amwell Township; sentence – 12 months of probation.
Lucky J. Ross, 37, of 150 Bow St., Stockdale; theft; charged Nov. 24 for stealing tools from 150 Bow St.; sentence – Restrictive Intermediate Punishment program for 23 months, with first 90 days on electronic home monitoring, 100 hours of community service.
Sarah E. Huehn, 33, of 1422 Great Oak Drive, Pittsburgh; possession with intent to deliver, delivery of a controlled substance; charged after selling a controlled substance Aug. 24 in a Cecil Township parking lot; sentence – 24 months in a state intermediate punishment program followed consecutively by 23 months of probation.

Dennis M. Long, 40, of 314 Black Diamond Hollow Road, Monongahela; possession of a controlled substance; charged Jan. 4 for a drug transaction viewed by an off-duty police officer in the parking lot of Sheetz, Monongahela; sentence – 12-months of probation.
John A. McClain, 49, of 144 Church St., Washington; simple assault; charged Nov. 30 for striking a woman in the face with his fist and open hand at 144 Church St., Washington; sentence – 6 months of probation.
Connie K. Dobrinski, 33, of 64 Hickory St., Ellsworth; receiving stolen property; charged May 23 for taking a garage door from a commercial building at 1 Todd Ave., Ellsworth, and selling it for scrap; sentence – 3 to 23 months of probation, with the first 3 months on electronic home monitoring, $200 restitution.
Kristopher K. Laughlin, 29, of 529 Sixth St., Clairton; criminal mischief-damage property, public intoxication; charged Nov. 12 on Fairview Street in Elrama for hitting a car with a baseball bat; sentence – 12 months of probation, $549 in restitution to the victim, $100 fine.
Admitted into the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program were:
Joshua R. Konecheck, 24, of 34 Cedar Grove Road, Avella, admitted for 12 months for driving under the influence.
Tiffany Mack, 40, of 6084 Springhouse Place, Bridgeville, admitted for 12 months for retail theft. She was charged Nov. 22 at the Trinity Point Walmart in South Strabane Township.
Ashley Lampe, 25, of 1992 Oak Forest Road, Waynesburg, admitted for 12 months for theft of narcotics. She was charged Nov. 23 at Presbyterian Senior Care, South Main Street, Washington, where she was an employee.
