Mischief charge: Jacob T. Knoneberg, 28, of West Alexander, will be charged by state police with criminal mischief after he allegedly dented the driver’s side door of a car owned by Ariel M. Harden of Claysville while the vehicle was parked Thursday at 202 Highland Ridge Road, Buffalo.


Marijuana charge: Robert W. Labossiere, 23, of 425 East St., Canonsburg, will be charged with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia after he was found with the suspected drug Thursday, police said. Police were called to 407 S. Central Ave. by a woman who told police a man was trying to sell her drugs. When they arrived, they said they found Labossiere. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

Wallet missing: Joseph Scott of Oil City told Canonsburg police Thursday that his wallet containing $275 and gift cards was lost or stolen while he was at Panda Chinese, 590 W. Pike St.


Excavators damaged: Two Caterpillar excavators owned by Tyson Shook were damaged while they were parked Thursday in the 900 block of Western Avenue, Chartiers police said.


Charged with assault, burglary: Brian Keith Washington, 43, of 507 Hickory Circle, Canonsburg, was arrested Friday on charges of burglary, simple assault, unlawful restraint and harassment stemming from an incident Tuesday at the apartment of Brenda Louise Baum, 422 E. Wheeling St., Jefferson Village. When she opened the door, Baum said Washington entered her apartment and told her he wanted to talk. He reportedly refused to leave. Washington allegedly grabbed Baum by the face and pushed her to the floor. Washington was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in the Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.


Purse stolen: Rina Fortunato, 49, of Pittsburgh, was charged this week with retail theft by North Strabane police for allegedly stealing a $213 Bolzano purse from the gift shop at The Meadows Racetrack & Casino Feb. 17. When contacted the following day, she reportedly told police she forgot she had the purse when she walked out the door. She returned the purse to police. A charge of retail theft will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.


Credit cards stolen: Chris Marie McClelland, 33, of 1348 Stone Church Road, Union Township, was arraigned Wednesday before District Judge Jay Weller on charges of theft, access device fraud, receiving stolen property and forgery. She is accused of stealing credit cards and a check from her mother, Catherine McClelland, and using the cards to make almost $2,000 in purchases and cashing the check for $400. Weller set bond at $5,000 for McClelland, who had been incarcerated in the Washington County jail on other charges.

Theft charge: Helen Marie Newton, 55, of 750 Fayette St., Washington, was charged this week by South Strabane police with theft by deception for allegedly stealing clothing valued at $378.60 while working at Gabriel’s, Northgate Plaza, Feb. 22. Police said she had a friend help her. Newton allegedly scanned the merchandise and then voided some of the items.The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Retail theft charge: Lea Marie Angle-Warhola, 38, of Carnegie, will be charged by South Strabane police with retail theft for allegedly stealing $220 in clothing from Walmart, Trinity Point, Thursday.The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.


Marijuana, paraphernalia charges: Ryan Wallace, 25, of 262 E. Hallam Ave., Washington, was arraigned Thursday on charges of possession of marijuana and paraphernalia after Washington County deputies found the suspected drug while taking him into custody on a bench warrant the previous day. District Judge Robert Redlinger set bond at $5,000 on the new charges.

Copper stolen: Skyler Wheeler of 675 Henderson Ave. told Washington police Thursday that copper welding leads valued at $800 were stolen from the back of his pickup truck.

Harassment charge: Colleen Hite, 43, of 250 Hart Ave., Washington, will be charged with harassment by Washington police after she allegedly slapped Donald Yeager and tried to head butt and bite Ray Bell Wednesday. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Vehicle entered: Brent Dames of 1194 Summerlea Ave., told Washington police Thursday he spotted a white man wearing a gray, hooded shirt inside his vehicle. The man was 6 feet tall, weighed about 150 pounds and wore a black face mask. The man ran away.

Woman assaulted: Trina Trowell, 30, of 158 Jollick Manor, told Washington police she was assaulted by another woman outside her home Tuesday. The other woman punched and cut Trowell, who went to Washington Hospital for treatment. Charges are pending against her attacker.

Gun stolen: Nicholas Putman of Pleasant Grove Road, East Finley Township, told Washington police Tuesday his Keltec .380-caliber semiautomatic handgun was stolen from his vehicle while the vehicle was parked at Trinity Church in the 500 block of South Main Street.

Money order stolen: Alyssa Cunningham of 540 W. Chestnut St., told Washington police Tuesday a $550 money order was stolen from her home.

Money, card stolen: Kayla Poland of 1172 Maple Terrace told Washington police Thursday that $168 and her access food stamp card were stolen from her home.
