Police beat March 13
Purse stolen: Colleen Locy of 600 S. Central Ave. told Canonsburg police Monday that her purse containing her license and prescription medication was stolen.
Copper stolen: A coil of copper of unknown value and two vehicle rims valued at $200 each were stolen from behind the house of Cynthia Hollerich, School Hill Road, Hendersonville, township police said. The theft was reported at 1:58 p.m. Sunday.
Woman charged: Evelyn D. Tillman, 35, of 1026 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, was charged early Tuesday by Charleroi police with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct for allegedly striking Ashly Wilson on the ear and back during a confrontation. She will be arraigned at a later date.
Two face charges: Motorist Joshua D. Colussy, 22, of 478 Westland Road, Hickory, and his passenger, Alexandra M. Rossi, 23, of Irwin, each face charges after a crash early Sunday in the 700 block of Western Avenue (Route 519), Chartiers police said. Colussy was driving north around a right turn when his vehicle crossed into the southbound lanes and hit a guardrail. Colussy faces a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol. Rossi was found almost two hours later running in and out of traffic, almost getting hit by a vehicle. She will be charged with public drunkenness. Charges will be sent from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Driver injured: George Campbell, 51, of Steubenville Pike, Oakdale, was injured Saturday morning when his vehicle crashed into an embankment off Route 18 near Crossroads Road as he swerved to avoid a deer, Chartiers police said. His vehicle rolled several times. Campbell had to be freed by Chartiers firefighters. He was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment of rib and head injuries.
Theft case: James Romito, 48, of 90 Castner Ave., Donora, is charged by borough police with theft, receiving stolen property and criminal conspiracy, court records show. He is accused of stealing a computer and jewelry March 5 from Susan Pyrdeck while performing remodeling work at her residence on McRae Ave. and then selling the items to a Monessen pawn shop, the affidavit indicates. Romito is in the Washington County jail on $10,000 bond set Monday by District Judge Mark Wilson.
Drug, theft charges: Keith Allen Andrews, 44, of 3993 Millers Run Road, McDonald, was charged by McDonald police with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and retail theft stemming from an incident Sunday at Giant Eagle. Andrews allegedly stole three Sarris peanut cluster candy bars. Police also found a partially smoked marijuana cigarette in his pants pocket. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Valarie Costanzo.
Drug arrest: Dustin J. Evans, 30, of 425 Jackson St., Monongahela, is charged by city police with possession of Oxycodone with intent to deliver, drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia, court records show. Police accuse him of having 36 of the pills, $883 and a pill crusher in his vehicle when he was arrested on an Allegheny County warrant about 10 p.m. Oct. 31, 2011, at Jackson and Union streets. He is in the Washington County jail on $25,000 bond set Monday by District Judge Mark Wilson.
Bar cited: The operators of Mouse Trap, 9212 Steubenville Pike, Bulger, Robinson Township, were cited by the state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement for allegedly allowing a person under the age of 18 to perform in the premises Jan. 19.
