Two men arrested last month by Canonsburg police on suspicion of selling about $40,000 in heroin each week waived their case to court Wednesday.

Jason Hollman, 43, of 200 Alexander Ave., Strabane, and Damen Gamble, 22, of 416 Giffin Ave., Canonsburg, were arrested Feb. 20 during a traffic stop on Euclid Avenue near Adams Avenue. Both men were charged with possession and possession with intent to deliver heroin. They had been scheduled for a preliminary hearing before District Judge David Mark.

Sgt. Don Cross also filed charges Wednesday against Hollman’s 37-year-old wife, Angela Hollman, who was with the pair at the time of their arrest. She faces identical charges and will be arraigned at a later date.

Canonsburg police had received information that the two men would make a daily run to Pittsburgh to pick up the heroin. They would then allegedly sell the drug in the Canonsburg and North Strabane Township areas.

When their vehicle was stopped, Angela Hollman had 250 stamp bags of heroin in five bricks that she was holding for her husband in her purse. Gamble had 100 stamp bags in two bricks. He also had $2,000.

Police believe Jason Hollman and Gamble were selling $5,200 to $6,900 worth of heroin from their homes on a daily basis at the time of their arrest.

As part of the waiver, the bond for Hollman and Gamble was reduced from $50,000 to a $10,000 percentage bond. Both men had been lodged in the Washington County jail since their arrest.
