Concert society marks 70th year

  • March 26, 2013

The Pittsburgh Concert Society will celebrate its 70th anniversary with “Food, Friendship and Music” at 5 p.m. April 21 at the Pittsburgh Golf Club.

PCS was established to discover and assist local musicians through a series of auditions, offering formal performance opportunity and prize money to selected winners. Many winners have become members of U.S. and world orchestras as well as major musical institutions. In its 70-year history, the society has presented more than 1,300 musicians in concert.
