Helen Zvonkovich Capriotti
Bobtown native devoted to family
Helen Zvonkovich Capriotti, 92, of Fairfax Station, Va., a native of Bobtown, died Saturday, March 23, 2013, in the home of her daughter, following an illness of several months.
She was born September 28, 1920, in Allison, and was raised in Bobtown, a daughter of the late John and Kata Humic Zvonkovich.
Mrs. Capriotti was a 1937 graduate of Point Marion High School.
She had worked for a while at Houze Glass in Point Marion. After moving to the Washington, D.C., area, she was employed by the federal government, until her retirement in 1985.
Mrs. Capriotti was devoted to her family and treasured her friends.
She remained active into her 90s and often enjoyed playing bingo and the slot machines.
Surviving are two daughters, Susan Borinsky and husband Daniel of Alexandria, Va., and Joan Lamoy of Gaithersburg, Md.; two granddaughters, Marta Borinsky and Jesse Lamoy; two sisters, Pauline Zvonkovich of Fairfax Station and Anna Heney of Santa Rosa, Calif.; and several loving nieces and nephews.
She was beloved and will be missed by all her family, as well as the many people whose lives were made better by knowing her.
Deceased are her husband, Louis D. Capriotti, who died July 23, 2000; two brothers, Stephen and Joseph Zvonkovich; and two sisters, Mary Work and Dorothy Zvonkovich.
Friends will be received from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., the time of service, Saturday, March 30, in Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion, with the Rev. Lawrence V. Holpp officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Point Marion.
