CARMICHAELS – A four-month investigation into the illegal sale and distribution of crack cocaine and marijuana in Greene and Fayette counties led to the arrest of two individuals March 28.
Cumberland Township police arrested Darell Marice Spruell, 21, of 238 W. Church Ave., Masontown, and Felicia Crystal Walters, 26, of 110 Bliss Ave., Nemacolin.
The arrests came about as the result of a joint effort among the Greene County Drug Task Force, Cumberland Township, Masontown Borough and Carmichaels Borough police departments, along with the state attorney generals’ office and Pennsylvania state constables of Cumberland Township.
Spruell was taken into custody on outstanding warrants following a traffic stop in Cumberand Township. He is charged with 12 counts each of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of crack cocaine, and criminal conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance, plus five counts of criminal use of a communication facility.
Walters was taken into custody on warrants at her residence. Walters was charged with 11 counts each of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, criminal conspiracy to deliver crack cocaine, plus six counts of criminal use of a communication facility.
They were arraigned before District Judge Lou Dayich and placed in the Greene County Prison on $60,000 bond each.
According to Cumberland Township Police Chief Craig Miller, there are charges pending against a third unidentified person following the discovery of additional narcotics during the arrest.
