Fire breaks out at auto salvage yard

Firefighters from six companies have been called to Pitt-Mon Auto Salvage, Stockdale and Watt streets, Monongahela, where a number of cars are on fire. Thick, black smoke is billowing from the area. The fire was reported about 4:30 p.m., according to Washington County 911. Firefighters from Monongahela, New Eagle, Fallowfield Township, Carroll Township, Bentleyville and Valley Inn have been called to fight the blaze.
