Dorothy S. Weaver of Washington will celebrate her 90th birthday Saturday with family and friends and with a card shower. Cards can be mailed to 862 Beech St., Apt. 314, Washington, PA 15301.
She was born April 17, 1923, in Webster, to Harry and Katherine Sarber.
On November 10, 1940, in Washington, she married Paul Weaver. They shared 64 years together.
She has three children, Marjorie (Thomas) Harrington, Richard (Dorcas) Weaver and Lois (Irvin) Slade, all of Washington.
Her eight grandchildren are Jeff, Tom, Mark and Scott Harrington, Rikki Piotrowski, Leslie Stevens, Steve Janovich and Kristen Post. She has 11 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Weaver attended Washington public schools and attends Abundant Life Baptist Church (formerly Allison Avenue Baptist Church), were she is the oldest active member. She and her husband formed the Doughnuts, Devotions and Dartball ministry and won a trophy for the most doubles at the end of two seasons. Mrs. Weaver enjoyed sewing for her home, family and friends for many years. She remains active in her home and enjoys reading and shopping.
