One arrested, one sought in Isaly’s robbery in Canton

State police have arrested one man and are looking for his stepbrother in connection with the Jan. 21 robbery at the Isaly’s store on Jefferson Avenue, Canton Township.


Michael Stienstraw, 26, of Washington, turned himself in to police Tuesday after learning they were looking for him. Police also obtained a warrant for Shayne Coffield, 23, of Washington. City police are also looking for Coffield in connection with the March 27 robbery of the Uni-Mart on East Maiden Street.


Steinstraw was arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis on charges including robbery and simple assault. He was placed in Washington County Jail on $100,000 bond.


Anyone with information on Coffield’s whereabouts is asked to call state police at 724-223-5200 or city police through 911.
