Police beat April 14
Charges filed: Canonsburg police filed charges Monday against a Washington woman who allegedly crashed her vehicle into a police cruiser in late January on West Pike Street and then left the scene. Danielle Stoner, 42, of 615 Moore Road, was charged by police with driving under the influence of alcohol, fleeing or attempting to elude police, possession of drug paraphernalia and narcotics and traffic violations. Her blood-alcohol content was more than double the 0.08 percent limit presumed for intoxication. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Windshield damaged: Michelle Royer, 29, of Maple St., Ellsworth, told state police Saturday vandals damaged the windshield of her Jeep Cherokee while it was parked outside her home.
Tire cut: Gary Greenawalt of 1792 Main St., Marianna, told state police Saturday vandals cut a tire on his vehicle.
Rider injured: Shawn A. Luketich, 32, of Ellsworth, was injured about 2:25 p.m. Friday when he crashed his motorcycle into a car driven by Allen S. Tegi, 29, of Washington, on Grange Road near California Drive, West Pike Run, state police said. Police said Luketich was traveling west at a high speed when his motorcycle crossed into the oncoming lane and hit Tegi’s vehicle. Luketich, who was taken to a Pittsburgh hospital for treatment of what police described as a moderate injury, will be cited for driving at an unsafe speed.
