Crash injures one near Mt. Morris

One person was injured on Interstate 79, two miles north of Mt. Morris, about 10:15 a.m. Friday, when a wheel came off a northbound tractor trailer, crossed the median and struck a southbound car. The driver of the car was injured, though the injuries were not life threatening, said state police on scene. The person was transported to a hospital by EMS Southwest ambulance. Mt. Morris Volunteer Fire Company was called to assist at the scene. Additional information was not available Friday.
