Joseph J. Pokorny, son of Stacy Bonus Pokorny of Moon Township and the late Cpl. Joseph R. Pokorny, has graduated from Robert Morris Police Academy and the State Police Academy, where he majored in criminology. He is the first police cadet to have lost a parent in the line of duty and is assigned to Troop B in Washington. Pokorny is a graduate of Moon Township High School, and his grandparents are Bea Bonus of Washington and the late Frank Bonus.

Rock Maffio has graduated from Life University as a doctor of chiropractic. He majored in biology. Maffio has opened his own practice, Maffio Chiropractic Solutions LLC in Washington. He is a 2006 graduate of Washington High School, and his parents are Tim and Pam Maffio of Washington.
