Two charged: Mark William John Shriver, 19, of Irondale, Ohio, and John Clair, 18, of 507 Fifth Ave., Langeloth, were charged by McDonald police with theft, receiving stolen property, criminal conspiracy, criminal mischief and criminal trespass for allegedly stealing a girl’s bicycle from a porch at 26 Wade Ave., Burgettstown, April 15. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Gary Havelka.
DUI, drug charges: Timothy Dowden, 21, of Wellsburg, W.Va., will be charged by McDonald police with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, tampering with evidence, possession of heroin and possession of paraphernalia stemming from an incident Saturday in a parking lot at 1205 Main St., Burgettstown. Police were called when a passenger, Terry Morgan, 21, also of Wellsburg, reportedly overdosed while in Dowden’s vehicle. Morgan was taken to Weirton (W.Va.) Medical Center for treatment. Police searched the area and said they found syringes used to inject heroin.
Two charged: Tara Bates, 27, of 121 N. Main St., Houston, and Albert Johnson, 34, of 173 Church St., Washington, were arraigned Sunday before District Judge David Mark on charges of simple assault and harassment. The two are accused of assaulting each other at Harrison Street and Taylor Alley. They were released on their own recognizance.
Father arrested: Samuel R. Boucher Jr., 62, of 1301 Weirich Ave., Canton, was arrested Sunday by state police on charges of simple assault, harassment and public drunkenness after he allegedly hit his son, Samuel R. Boucher III, 38, with a flashlight during a confrontation at his home. He was arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka and placed in the Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
Charged in theft: Brandon E. Leek, 27, whose last known address was Washington, was arraigned Friday before District Judge Gary Havelka on a charge of theft. He is accused of stealing $120 from the apartment of Melissa Patrick, 30 Belair Drive, Belvedere Acres, Canton, Sept. 6. He was released on $2,500 unsecured bond.
Restaurant cited: The operators of Rego’s Restaurant and Hotel, 601 McKean Ave., Charleroi, were cited by the state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement for allegedly allowing smoking and failure to post signs on three occasions earlier this year.
Warrant arrest: Bradley Tedrow, 33, whose last known address was Lookout Avenue in Charleroi, was arraigned Sunday on charges filed by Charleroi police in 2007. Tedrow is charged with attempted burglary and criminal mischief for allegedly trying to break into the home of a former neighbor on Lookout. He was arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka and placed in the Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
Assault arrest: Aleksander A. Bykov, 24, of 317 13th St., Donora, was arrested Saturday by Donora police after he allegedly struck Julie Tortorice in the face during a confrontation at his home and in the 1500 block of Meldon Avenue. He was arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka on charges of simple assault and harassment. He was placed in the Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
Arson arrest: Melinda L. Headlee, 40, of 1145 First St., Denbo, was arrested Sunday by state police on charges of arson and criminal mischief after she allegedly set fire to the cab of a pickup truck owned by her estranged boyfriend, Donald Price, while it was parked outside his home at 209 Second St., Marianna, earlier in the day. Headlee was arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka and placed in the Washington County jail on $20,000 bond.
Teens charged: A 15-year-old Washington boy and a 17-year-old Canonsburg boy were charged by North Franklin police with disorderly conduct after they were found with suspected marijuana Friday at Washington Crown Center.
Window broken: A window in a room at Ramada Inn, 1170 W. Chestnut St., was broken Saturday in a fight outside the room, North Franklin police said.
Unauthorized purchase: Jane Stift of 517 Sylvan Drive told North Franklin police Thursday that an unauthorized purchase was made using her credit card information at a grocery store in Rockville, Md.
Items stolen: Harry A. Salisbury of 96 Green Valley Road told North Strabane police Saturday that a shotgun, welding helmet, paint guns, air compressor and a jar containing about $100 in coins were stolen from his home. At least two items were sold at a Washington resale shop.
Driver injured: Michael Keeney, 30, of 14 Wilmont Ave., Washington, was injured Thursday night in a one-vehicle crash on East Beau Street. Details of the crash were not available Monday from South Strabane police.
Heroin, theft charges: Clarence Latham, 26, of 2894 Oak St., Washington, was charged Monday by South Strabane police with possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia and retail theft after he allegedly stolen an electric razor April 16 from Walmart, Trinity Point. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Pizza delivery driver robbed: A Four Star Pizza delivery driver was robbed in the 700 block of Addison Street shortly after midnight Saturday, Washington police said. The driver was robbed of an undisclosed amount of money by a man who came from between the homes in the area. The driver was not injured and called 911 after returning to the store, police said.
Furniture damaged in burglary: Washington police are investigating after a resident living in the 800 block of West Chestnut Street said she found her home burglarized about 9:30 p.m. Friday. The woman told police someone poured bleach on her furniture and clothes, and that one article of clothing was burned in the kitchen. Police said the person entered the home through an unlocked front window.
Woman assaulted: Washington police said they are searching for two men after one of them got out of his car and pushed a woman to the ground, causing her to strike her head on the sidewalk this weekend. Police said the woman was walking in the 300 block of West Chestnut Street shortly after midnight Saturday when a man got out of his car and assaulted her. She was taken to Washington Hospital with a head injury, police said.
Drug charge: Jessie White, 26, of 144 Verona Drive, South Strabane, will be charged with possession of a controlled substance after Washington police said they found prescription drugs and paraphernalia during a traffic stop in the 100 block of East Walnut Street about 9:30 p.m. Sunday.
Copper pipe stolen: Washington police said someone burglarized a Murray Avenue home over the weekend and stole the copper pipes in the residence.
Drug charge: Courtney Lynn Alderson, 24, of 115 Graham Ave., South Franklin, was charged with possession of a controlled substance after Washington police said they stopped her car in the 600 block of Broad Street about 7:30 p.m. Friday.
