Police beat April 29
Corruption of minor charge: State police said a woman claimed that a Canton Township juvenile girl was missing while the two were out partying earlier this month. Police said Jade Rea, 19, of Washington, took the 14-year-old girl to a party in Bentleyville, where the two drank alcohol and smoked marijuana. Rea allegedly told investigators the girl ran away from home and she didn’t know her location from April 18 to 20. Rea faces charges of corruption of minors, concealing the whereabouts of a child and interference with the custody of a child.
Roadtrip brings charge: Jessica Smith, 26, of Washington, was charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle after state police said she asked to use a car and then took it on a weeklong road trip to Florida. Police said she took the car from the Canton Township residence from April 19 to 25.

State police said Jeremy Smith, 39, of Patton, Cambria County, crashed about 5:30 a.m. just north of the junction with Route 50. He was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh with injuries to his back, police said. Police said they plan to file traffic citations against Smith.
