Southwestern Pennsylvania Water Authority will flush hydrants Thursday in Cumberland Township and Rices Landing Borough. Customers may experience a temporary drop in pressure, loss of pressure or discolored water.

A Firefighter’s Jamboree will be held Saturday at the Center Township fire hall in Rogersville. Featured artists will be Dave Clark, Bob Podish and The Last Resort band. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. An open mic portion of the evening will be held from 6:30 to 7 p.m., the time of the show. Admission is $5 for ages 14 and older. Proceeds will benefit the fire department.

Magic Jeff, a professional speaker and magical entertainer who has been performing for more than 15 years, will appear from 6 to 8 p.m. May 10 at Carmichaels United Methodist Church, 104 W. South St., Carmichaels. His show provides an entertaining blend of magic and comedy. There also will be face painting and games. The event is sponsored by the UMC Children’s Ministry.
