Driver charged: Kenneth W. Rhodes, 45, of Wind Ridge, was charged with hit and run following a two-vehicle crash at 2:34 p.m. April 25 on Barton Hollow Road, in which four of his passengers, including two children, suffered minor injuries, state police said. Police said Rhodes’ vehicle traveled into the oncoming lane on a curve and collided head on with a vehicle operated by Michael E. Johnson, 43, of Marion, Va. Rhodes fled the scene on foot, police said. Passengers in his vehicle who suffered minor injuries included Mary Plut, 29, and Melissa Miller, 25, both of Wind Ridge; a 4-year-old male; and a 2-year old male. No one in Johnson’s vehicle was injured. Police said the 4-year-old child was sitting in the lap of a front-seat passenger unrestrained and the 2-year-old child was in a child safety seat in the rear seat though the seat was not buckled. Rhodes was charged with accidents involving death or personal injury, accidents involving death or personal injury while not properly licensed and numerous summary traffic violations, including failure to stop and provide information and render aid. Police were assisted on scene by the Center Township Volunteer Fire Company.


FRANKLIN

Disorderly citation: Timothy Temple, 25 of Waynesburg, was cited for disorderly conduct following an incident at 1:53 a.m. April 24 near 117 Third Street, state police said.


Property found: A large, black leather jacket was found on the roadway on the southbound off ramp of Interstate 79 at Waynesburg at 10:12 a.m. Saturday, state police said. The jacket can be claimed at the Waynesburg state police barracks.


Bike found: A girl’s bicycle was found on Tollgate Run Road. Anyone wishing to claim the bicycle can call state police in Waynesburg.


JEFFERSON

Minor injuries: One person suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash at 8:32 a.m. April 29 on Jefferson Road, state police said. Police said Joseph F. Petek, 56, of Jefferson, was slowing to turn right into a driveway when his vehicle was struck in the rear by a vehicle operated by Duane W. Devecka, 61, of Fredericktown. Petek suffered a minor injury in the crash, police said.


MORRIS

Man cited: Eric Bedilion, 42, of 162 Crouse Road, Sycamore, was cited for disorderly conduct after he caused a disturbance at 8:35 p.m. Saturday on Crouse Road, state police said.


WASHINGTON

Theft reported: Eleven Deka construction batteries were stolen from equipment on Route 221 near Hull Run Road between April 27 and April 30, state police said. The batteries are owned by Alex E. Paris of Atlasburg. Anyone with information on the theft is asked to call state police at 725-627-6151.


No injuries: No injuries were reported in a single-car crash at 4:40 p.m. April 22 on Washington Road. State police said Matthew P. Chisler, 22, of Point Marion, was driving south when his car crossed the northbound lane and struck a guardrail.


WAYNESBURG

Man cited: Jonathan E. Lorence, 26, of Mather, was cited for failing to obey a crossing guard who was directing traffic at 7:50 a.m. April 25 on South Morgan Street at Margaret Bell Miller Middle School, Waynesburg police said.


WHITELEY

Disorderly citation: Alexandria Lyons, 24, of Point Marion, was cited for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct following an incident at 1:15 a.m. Sunday near Meadow Run Road and Warren Roberts Road, state police said.
