Numerous people recently appeared in Washington County Court on criminal charges. Appearing before Judge Edward Borkowski were:

William C. Harps, 47, of 2013 E. Maiden St., Washington; harassment, simple assault; charged Aug. 29 for repeatedly calling a woman’s phone after being instructed to stop by police, and for assaulting her at his home on Nov. 10; sentence – 6 to 23 months in jail with work release, anger management program, no contact with the victim.

Anthony Buchanan, 18, of 855 Ewing St., Washington; robbery, criminal trespass; charged Aug. 25 after robbing and assaulting a person in front of 1452 E. Maiden St., Washington, and charged Oct. 18 for kicking the door in at 1622 1/2 Pierce Ave., Washington, and stealing items; sentence – 9 to 23 months in jail followed by 2 years of probation.
