Numerous people recently appeared in Washington County Court on criminal charges. Appearing before Judge Edward Borkowski were:
Frank D. Efaw, 49, of 104 Warren St., Bentleyville; reckless endangerment, first offense of DUI; charged Aug. 31 for pointing a loaded 9 mm firearm at a woman and her son and firing one round outside of their home at 6 Rhoades Lane, Deemston Borough, then driving away from the scene and back again; sentence – 10 days to 6 months in jail, followed by 12 months probation with home monitoring for the first 10 days, $1,000 fine.
Brandon C. Vanbuskirk, 25, of 423 Fourth St., Waynesburg; accident involving damage to unattended vehicle; charged May 4 following a vehicle crash with injuries in the 400 block of East Maiden Street, Washington, and fleeing the scene; sentence – 12 months of probation.
Theresa A. Molesky, 51, of 110 Main St., Apt. 4, Belle Vernon; second offense of DUI, driving with a suspended license; charged July 22 following a traffic stop in Bentleyville; sentence – 6 months in the Intermediate Punishment Program with the first 5 months on home monitoring and first 30 days on SCRAM, $1,750 fine.
Robert E. Gray III, 29, of 1115 Main St., Burgettstown; second offense of DUI; charged May 27 following a traffic stop in McDonald, refusing a breath test; sentence – 23 months in the Intermediate Punishment Program with the first 6 months on home monitoring and first 3 months on SCRAM, $1,500 fine.
George F. Sears, 56, of 60 Hidden Valley Drive, Finleyville; possession of drug paraphernalia; charged July 10 during a check-on-welfare call to police by a neighbor; 12 months of probation with the first 90 days on intensive supervision.
Brandon Katinsky, 18, of 4 Homewood Drive, Charleroi; possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia; charged Feb. 2 after finding the drugs in his car at 415 Oakland Ave., Charleroi; placed in the Probation Without Verdict program for 1 year.
Melissa L. Comer, 32, of 109 Penn Ave., Bentleyville; possession of drug paraphernalia, retail theft; charged Jan. 18 for stealing items valued at $82 and possessing empty bags of heroin at Walmart, Trinity Point; sentence – 12 months of probation.
Andrew Minnis, 18, of 59 Kopper Kettle Road, Washington; possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia; charged Dec. 13 after police responded to a domestic disturbance at his grandparents’ home where he resides; sentence – 12 months of probation with intensive supervision.
Jamie N. Weaver, 27, of 2418 Pin Oak Place, Pittsburgh; retail theft, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of drugs; charged Jan. 1 at Lowe’s on Washington Road, Washington, for stealing items valued at $297 and possessing heroin, empty bags of heroin and a controlled substance; placed in the Probation Without Verdict program for 12 months, retail theft classes.
