Bobby Martin hit a bases-loaded single in the bottom of the 11th inning to give Schaumburg a 3-2 victory over the Washington Wild Things Friday night and ruin Bart Zeller’s debut as manager.

Washington took a 1-0 lead on a one-out double by C.J. Beatty and a two-out double by Mark Samuelson. Schaumburg took a 2-1 lead in the third inning when Mozingo slapped a two-run double. Washington tied it in the seventh when Rick Devereaux doubled in pinch-runner Matt Fleishman.
Mozingo went 3-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored for Schaumburg. The Boomers bullpen pitched five shutout innings and Jose Rodriguez picked up the win.
Beatty went 2-for-5 with a run scored and Samuelson went 2-for-3 for Washington.
