Police beat June 13
Tools stolen: Tools were reported stolen in a burglary of a shed and garage owned by John E. Rozzo Electrical Contracting, 3475 Vista Valley Road, Amwell, state police said.
Paraphernalia charge: Levi T. Blake, 19, of Aleppo, was charged by state police Wednesday with possession of drug paraphernalia stemming from a June 3 traffic stop on Interstate 79, Cecil.
Marijuana charge: Darrelle Mott, 23, of Bridgeville, was charged by state police Wednesday with possession of drug paraphernalia stemming from a June 4 traffic stop on Interstate 79, Cecil.
Assault on parents alleged: Marcy L. Hampson, 40, of 215 Cherry Avenue, Houston, was charged with simple assault, harassment, disorderly conduct, terroristic threats and theft after she allegedly assaulted her parents and threatened to kill them Tuesday night. When Houston police arrived at the residence, Marcy Hampson was seen pushing and shoving William and Marsha Hampson multiple times. Police said she hit her mother in the chest, arms and face, knocking her glasses off. She then struck her father in the face and slapped him in the arm, chest and stomach. Hampson threatened to kill four family members, including her father, mother, brother and her brother’s son, and also her dogs and fish. Hampson also stole $400 cash from her parent’s file cabinet. Hampson was arraigned before District Judge James Ellis and placed in the Washington County jail on $2,500 bond.
Laptop stolen: Jennifer Lynn Polly of 1278 Meadowbrook Drive told North Strabane police Tuesday a laptop computer was stolen from her car.
Items stolen: James Dulaney, of 111 Wylie Ave., Strabane, told North Strabane police Tuesday a cellphone and $400 were stolen from his vehicle. Janet Adkins, also of 111 Wylie, told police her van was ransacked but nothing was stolen.
DUI chage on ATV: Don Warwick, 59, of 101 Greene Road, Bulger, faces a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol after crashing his all-terrain vehicle Saturday night on the Montour Trail, Robinson, McDonald police said. Warwick reportedly crashed into a steel and concrete post. Warwick, who was not wearing a helmet, was flown to Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, for treatment. Blood was drawn to determine his blood-alcohol level.
Escapes injury: Robert Struhala Jr., 21, of Homer City, escaped injury Monday when his vehicle went off Berry Road, crashed through a fence and went over a hill, South Strabane police said.
Generator stolen: A Honda generator was reported stolen Monday from the back of a pickup truck owned by Select Energy Services of Granville, Texas, while it was parked in the lot at Tanger Outlets, South Strabane police said.
Woman arrested: Tawanda McCoy, 32, of 173 Church Street, Apt. 2, Washington, was charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment after Latoya Moss told city police McCoy attacked her early Wednesday. Moss told Washington police she was at McCoy’s home earlier in the evening and returned for a set of keys when she was attacked. McCoy struck Moss in the face several times, causing multiple cuts to her face and a large cut to the side of her head, police said. Moss was taken to Washington Hospital for evaluation. McCoy was arraigned before District Judge James Ellis and placed in the Washington County jail on $2,500 bond.
DUI charges: Jacqueline Mock, 28, of 770 Buena Vista St., faces charges of DUI after her vehicle had heavy front-end damage from striking a utility pole on Jefferson Avenue Tuesday night. Police found Mock pulled over on West Wylie Ave. She told them she had consumed four beers at a bar and was feeling sick. She also complained of head pain from hitting the vehicle’s steering wheel. Mock was taken to Washington Hospital for evaluation.
Forgery reported: Police are investigating a case of forgery in which two tax return checks were deposited in a Washington man’s bank account. Police said Denise Mountau, of Hagerstown, Md., reported the checks amounting to more than $5,300 had not been received by her.
Threats reported: Krystal Cardin of Third St. reported Tuesday her boyfriend’s wife was threatening her verbally and by text message. Police plan to file charges against Shawna Grazier of Allison Park and told both women to not have any contact with each other.
DUI charges: John Denman, 43, of 535 Moore Rd., faces DUI charges after he brought down a telephone pole on Hall Avenue after striking it with his vehicle June 5, police said. Police found Denman walking on Jefferson Avenue after parking the truck on West Wylie Avenue. He admitted to police being involved in the accident. His blood-alcohol content was 0.152 percent and he was released to a family member.
Bike stolen: Kerri Wonsettler of Maple Avenue reported her son’s bike was stolen Tuesday night from the sidewalk at Maple and Bruce Street.
