Garden club awards scholarship
Helen Barbor, scholarship chairman for the Town and Country Garden Club, presents the club’s $1,000 scholarship to 2013 Jefferson-Morgan High School graduate Jeremy Baker. He and his parents, Michele and Joey Baker, were guests at the club’s June meeting. Baker will attend Waynesburg University. While at Jefferson-Morgan, Baker was vice president of the Student Council, yearbook editor and a member of the Academic Team and Leo Club. He participated in the Upward Bound program, soccer, track and field, chorus, clothing drives and aided food banks and the Salvation Army.
