Police beat June 21
Money stolen: Gloria Kemp of Canonsburg told Canonsburg police Wednesday $20 was stolen from her purse while she was at McGrogan’s, Pike Street.
Medication stolen: Kelly Gregorczyk of 310 Grace Ave. told Canonsburg police Wednesday her child’s medication was stolen from her home.
Van damaged: Anthony Brnusak of South Strabane Township told North Strabane police his van was damaged while it was parked Tuesday at Pennsylvania Transformer, Morganza Road.
Identity theft charge: Courtney Anne Foster, 31, of 506 Chartiers Ave., Canonsburg, was charged this week by North Strabane police with identity theft and access device fraud after she allegedly used her husband’s personal information to open a credit card in his name last month without his permission. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Retail theft: Connor Errey was placed in the Washington County jail following his arrest for retail theft at 8:50 p.m. Wednesday at Giant Eagle, 4007 Washington Road, township police said. Errey, 20, of 156 Hickory Heights Drive, Bridgeville, was charged with stealing energy bars and energy drinks, then resisting attempts by store employees to stop him, police said.He was arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis and jailed on $1,000 bond, police said.
Retail theft charge: Corey Michael Weeks, 23, of Weirton, W.Va., was charged this week by South Strabane police with retail theft for allegedly stealing items valued at $1,630 from Walmart, Trinity Point. He allegedly stole the items on two occasions last month. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Assault charge: City police will charge Kristin Stein, 18, of 351 Locust Ave., with assault and harassment after an altercation with Alexyss Kennedy about midnight Wednesday. According to court documents, Stein punched Kennedy in the face and told her she would kill her baby. Charges sent through the offices of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
