The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning in Washington County until 3:45 p.m.

Excessive runoff will cause flooding of small streams, in low-lying spots on the roads and in poor drainage areas.

Motorists are advised not to drive in areas where the water covers the road, as the water depth may be too deep for safe passage.

Area fire departments are responding to reports of flooded basements, and at least one vehicle is reportedly stranded in floodwater at Park and Dewey avenues in Washington.
