John Allison was named to the dean’s list for the fourth consecutive semester at Waynesburg University, where he is majoring in biology/pre-medicine. He is a member of the American Medical Student Association and the cross country and track teams. Allison is a 2011 Fort Cherry High School graduate, and his parents are Tim and Colleen Allison of Hickory.


Allison Morgan Blumer, daughter of Nicklous Blumer and Mary Rossi-Blumer of Washington, was named to the dean’s list for the second semester at Waynesburg University, where she is majoring in criminal justice administration. She is president of the Criminal Justice Club. Blumer is a 2010 graduate of Trinity High School and is employed by the Washington County Booking Center. Blumer will be interning with the U.S. Secret Service department and the Washington Police department this summer.


Chaelyn Cross was named to the dean’s list at Waynesburg University, where she is majoring in nursing. Cross is a 2010 graduate of Bentworth High School and is employed by Home Instead Senior Care. Her parents are Michael and Stacy Cross of Scenery Hill.


Mary Eileen Dindal graduated with honors from Point Park University, where earned a bachelor of science degree in funeral service with a minor in psychology. She also was named to the dean’s list. Dindal received an associate degree in funeral service management in 2012 from Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. Dindal is a 2009 graduate of McGuffey High School and participated in the Pennsylvania Governor’s School for the arts at Mercyhurst College. Dindal is employed by Soxman Funeral Home. Her mother is Darlene F. Dindal of Prosperity.


Alex Eddy, son of Michael and Natalie Eddy of Mt. Morris, was named to the dean’s list at West Virginia University, where he is majoring in child development. He is a 2009 graduate of Waynesburg Central High School.


Shannon Falleroni, daughter of Danny and Carolyn Falleroni of Washington, was named to the dean’s list at Waynesburg University, where she is majoring in early childhood and special education. Falleroni is a member of Kappa Delta Pi Education Honor Society and DRUS Women’s Honorary Society. She is a 2010 graduate of Trinity High School and is employmed by Payless.


Kimberly Ann Furmanek, daughter of the late Rhonda M. Furmanek and granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis W. Furmanek of West Finley, received a juris doctor from Widener University School of Law in Harrisburg. She is a 2006 graduate of West Greene High School and a 2010 graduate of Washington & Jefferson College, where she received a bachelor of arts degree in psychology. Furmanek will take the Pennsylvania bar in July.


David Gregg was named to the dean’s list for the second consecutive semester at WaynesburgUniversity, where he is majoring in biology (pre-physical therapy). He is a 2012 graduate of Trinity High School, and his parents are David and Susan Gregg of Washington.


Kayla Hudak was named to the dean’s list at California University of Pennsylvania, where she is majoring in communication disorders. She is a member of Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society and the Pennsylvania Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She also was named a 2013 Presidential Scholar. She is a 2010 graduate of Trinity High school, and her parents are Scott and Lynn Hudak of Washington.


Cory Iams was named to the dean’s list at Waynesburg University, where he is majoring in forensic accounting. He is a 2011 graduate of Washington High School and is employed by Bradley Books and the Brownson House. His parents are Todd and Jana Iams.


Alysse Kelly graduated cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She was recognized for being named to the dean’s list all four years. She was a member of the American Nurses Association and served as a volunteer to raise money for Haitian children. Kelly also was a four-year recipient of the SNPJ academic scholarship. She is a 2007 graduate of Trinity High School and works in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. Her parents are James and Suzanne Kelly of Washington.


Marissa Miles of Chicago graduated from Case Western Reserve University, where she majored in chemical engineering. She played varsity basketball and was a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. Miles is a 2009 graduate of Fort Cherry High School and is employed as an engineer for Solvay-Rhodia, a chemical manufacturing community, Chicago facility. Her parents are Robert and Michele Miles of McDonald.


Austin Phillips was named to the dean’s list at Waynesburg University, where he is majoring in nursing. He a 2011 graduate of Washington High School, and his parents are Kirk and Amy Phillips of Washington.


Leeann Puglisi, daughter of Sam and Ann Puglisi, was named to the dean’s list for the fourth consecutive semester at Clarion University of Pennsylvania, where she is majoring in early childhood/special education. She is a member of Phi Eta Sigma Freshman Honorary, Kappa Delta Pi Education Honorary, Student Council for Exceptional Children, Clarion Students Educating Young Children and the Student Pennsylvania State Education Association. She is a 2011 graduate of Trinity High School and is employed by Camp Aim and Smart Kids Daycare.


Erica Snee was named to the dean’s list at Waynesburg University, where she is majoring in early childhood education/special education. She also is a cheerleader. Snee is a 2012 graduate of Waynesburg Central High School and is employed by Nanny’s Day Care. Her parents are Douglas and Marian Snee of Waynesburg.
