Police beat July 5
Drug possession charge: Police in California are charging Nikki Lynn Clark, 20, of Vestaburg, with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, recklessly endangering the welfare of a child and driving a vehicle with a suspended license after Clark allegedly passed out in her vehicle on Fourth Street Wednesday. Police and Emergency Medical Service workers found Clark passed out in her vehicle holding a hypodermic needle. She was treated for a possible heroin overdose and taken to Monongahela Valley Hospital. Police also found 11 empty stamp bags of suspected heroin in her vehicle and six full bags of suspected heroin. They also discovered Clark’s infant child was in a car seat in the back seat of the vehicle, which was not running. EMS workers checked the infant and found no apparent injury. The child was released to a grandfather who lived nearby.
