Burglary report: The manager of a Long John Silvers, 105 Cavasina Drive, told borough police about 9:30 a.m. Monday a burglar overnight stole a cash register containing $100 from the restaurant, police said. A back door appeared to have been pried open by a pipe found inside the business.
Two face charges: Tabetha Michelle Olson, 29, of 78 Hawkins St., will be charged with driving under the influence and drug possession and Stephan Vaughn Wasler, 38, of Pittsburgh, will face possession charges after North Franklin police pulled over the vehicle Olson was driving early Sunday. Police found a small pill container in Olson’s purse that contained a plastic baggie of cocaine and a suspected Oxycontin tablet. Olson’s blood-alcohol content was more than the 0.08 percent legal limit. Police also found a small amount of marijuana on Wasler, who was taken into custody on North Strabane Township and New Mexico warrants. Charges will be filed through the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Two-vehicle crash: Auburn Kennedy, 73, of Scenery Hill, was treated for a head laceration at Canonsburg General Hospital after his vehicle collided with another Monday at Route 519 and Brownlee Road, township police said. The other driver involved in the 10:15 a.m. accident, Nicholas Cieslinski, 18, of Belle Vernon, refused medical treatment, police said.
Man arrested: Nicholas Crossman, 18, of 546 Center Church Road, McMurray, was placed in the Washington County jail late Monday on $5,000 bond after being charged with simple assault and harassment, township police said. Police said he struck Joshua T. Crossman, 23, of the same address, during a disturbance in their residence at 9:50 p.m. When police arrived, officers found Joshua Crossman on the floor of the garage with facial swelling and lacerations. He was taken to UPMC-Mercy hospital, Pittsburgh. Joshua Crossman said he was struck in the back of the neck with an unknown object as he walked away from his brother after an argument, causing him to fall to the concrete garage floor. Nicholas Crossman told police he picked up a plastic pipe and threw it at his brother. He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Burglary: A resident of the 100 block of Sugar Run reported the residence had been entered between 8 a.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Sunday, police said. Stolen was $400 in cash, two $2 bills, a loaded gun magazine and a set of keys, police said. A weapon in the house was not taken.
Drug arrest: Kenneth Sellers, 30, of 725 Addison St., Washington, is charged by state police with drug possession, possession with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia, court records show. Police allege crack was found during a Dec. 7 search of his apartment. Sellers is in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond after being arrested on a warrant Monday and arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger.
