Police beat July 11
Arrested in assaults: Ryan T. Bachurski, 20, of 510 Madison Ave., West Brownsville, and Jordan Lagruth, 19, of 100 E. Second St., Grindstone, are both charged by borough police with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct, court records show. Police accuse them of assaulting William Matscko III and Tabitha Bakos about 6:30 p.m. June 28 in the 900 block of Park Ave., the affidavit indicates. They are free on $5,000 bonds after being arraigned Monday before District Judge Joshua Kanalis.
Stolen plate: Jason Brown of Lucia Drive told Canonsburg police the license plate was stolen from a trailer parked on his property Tuesday.
Harassment reported: Nancy Perkins told Canonsburg police three juveniles threw rocks at her and her children Tuesday while they were in her swimming pool on Ridge Avenue.
Woman jailed: Lauren E. Dumm, 25, of 706 Crest Ave., Charleroi, is charged by Charleroi Regional police with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, simple assault and possession of drug paraphernalia, court records show. Police accuse her of causing an abrasion to the arm of her mother, Marian, and then taking the woman’s car without her permission. Police said they found hypodermic needles in the car when Lauren Dumm returned it about 1:40 p.m. Tuesday. She is in the Washington County jail on $50,000 bond set by District Judge Larry Hopkins.
Minor injuries: Wyatt Kincaid, 16, of Washington Trail Road, Chartiers, and Scott McFarland, 16, of McClane Farm Road, Chartiers, escaped with only minor injuries after a vehicle Kincaid was driving flipped onto its hood Tuesday afternoon. According to the police report, Kincaid lost control of the vehicle after it skidded on gravel and water on the roadway while navigating a turn on Western Avenue.
Man jailed: Darryel Green, 52, of Center Point, Ala., is charged by state police with fleeing or eluding police and receiving stolen property, accused of leading police in Ohio on a chase while driving a stolen vehicle early Monday and then crashing it into guardrails at the Interstate 70 interchange at West Alexander, court records show. He is in the Washington County jail on $10,000 bond set by District Judge Ethan Ward.
Theft from register: Employees at Walmart told South Strabane police a man grabbed $798 from a cash register when a cashier opened the drawer to make change. Police are investigating.
Assault case: Nathaniel Brice, 23, of Washington, is charged by city police with simple assault, criminal mischief, trespassing and possession of a small amount of marijuana, court records show. Police accuse him of striking Peyton Hull in the face about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday at 155 E. Katherine Ave., where he also allegedly caused property damage. He is in Washington County Jail on $5,000 bond set by District Judge Robert Redlinger.
