Helen E. Cincinnati Sibert, 88, formerly of Washington, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2013, in Brevillier Village, Erie.

She was born April 12, 1925, in Washington, a daughter of the late Henry J. and Rose M. Tocci Cincinnati.

Mrs. Sibert was a 1943 graduate of Washington High School.

She retired in 1994 from Jessop Steel/Allegheny Ludlum with 32 years of service as a secretary to the traffic manager, executive secretary to the director of metallurgy and executive secretary to the sales manager.

Mrs. Sibert was an avid bridge player, attaining the rank of Life Master in 1987 at the age of 62. The camaraderie and competition of competitive bridge gave her great pleasure. She also enjoyed flowers, cooking and spice jellybeans.

In addition to her parents, deceased is her husband Walter L. Sibert on May 13, 1991. They were married for 49 years. Also deceased are two brothers, James in 1923 and Frank Cincinnati in 1949 and sister Mary Reihner in 1991.

Surviving are daughter Sharon O. Shaffer and husband Russell of North East and their three children, Christopher of North East, Stephen and wife Lisa of Plano, Texas, and Leslie Shaffer Chamberlain and husband Nathan of Chicago, Ill.; six great-grandchildren, Harrison, Parker and Karsen of Wayne and Ethan, Noah and Mateo of Plano, Texas; sister Rose M. Maleski; and brother Henry J. Cincinnati of Washington.

The nurses and staff of Ball Pavilion and Brevillier Village dedicated their care and service to Mrs. Sibert.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing or visitation. Loved ones and friends are asked to remember Mrs. Sibert in private thoughts and prayers. Burial will be private. Memorials may be made to Park United Methodist Church, 30 N. Lake St., North East, PA 16428 or to a charity of choice.
