Police beat July 23
Drugs, weapon charges: Cody George, 24, of 138 Pittsburgh Road, Bentleyville, will be charged by Southwest Regional police with possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia and possession of a prohibited offensive weapon stemming from a recent incident at his home. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Curtis Thompson.
Theft reported: Frank Lichtenbergh of Marienville, Forest County, told state police in Washington Sunday that a hot water tank, water pipes, water softener, refrigerator and stove were stolen from a house at 1178 S. Sunset Beach Road, Buffalo. The theft happened between April and July 15.
Receiving, firearms charges: Nelson T. Lynch, 49, of Carpenersville, Ill., was arrested Friday by California University of Pennsylvania police after he allegedly stole wallets from several offices at Dixon Hall.When police stopped him, they said they also found two guns under the seat of his vehicle. Lynch was arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka on chagres of receiving stolen property, person not to possess a firearm, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and theft. He was placed in Washington County jail on $20,000 bond.
Woman arraigned: Meredith J. Wright, 19, of 2360 S Bridge Road, Washington, was arraigned Saturday before District Judge Gary Havelka on a warrant on a charge of theft by deception. She is accused of purchasing a vehicle June 3 from Joan Enz-Doerschner but failing to make the $3,500 payment as promised, Canonsburg police said. She was taken into custody by state police after being stopped in the car for an equipment violation. Wright was released from Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
Television stolen: Patrick Green of 545 Euclid Ave. told Canonsburg police Monday that a 39-inch television was stolen when his home was burglarized.
Window broken: Warren Campbell of 422 Giffin Ave. told Canonsburg police Sunday that a rock was thrown through the window of his vehicle.
Items stolen: Ed and Stella Badia told Canonsburg police Sunday that two air-conditioning units, a box fan, lawn mower and swimming pool were stolen from their rental property at 10 Payne Place. Charges are pending.
Purse stolen: Anissa Dotts of 521 Blaine Ave. told Canonsburg police Sunday that her purse containing prescription medication was stolen from a truck parked on Payne Place. The purse was later found, but most of the contents were gone.
Change stolen: Helen DiFalco of 514 Euclid Ave. told Canonsburg police Saturday that a jar of change was stolen during a burglary of her home.
Window broken: State police said a window at a house belonging to Harry Moore, 34, of 104 3rd St., Waynesburg, was broken between 1 a.m. and 9:57 a.m. July 18.
Disorderly conduct: State police cited James Michael Orban and Robert Duane Sponaugle, both of Mount Morris, for disorderly conduct following an altercation at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at 106 Buchannon St., Mount Morris.
Window damaged: Carolyn Trozzi, Sycamore told state police a window on the front of her house on Railroad Road was damaged between 10 and 11 p.m. Saturday.
