Whiskey Rebellion Festival a success

  • July 22, 2013

Whiskey aside, the real significance of Washington’s Whiskey Rebellion Festival is the American spirit of independence and equality; and this festival has risen to be the premier celebration of this in Washington County.

This year’s three-day event provided something for everyone – history, art, food, music, children’s activities, fun, great folks and spirit.

Overlords and ladies, sponsors and vendors, participants and attendees are to be congratulated on a big job well done. In the history tent, we heard many comments from out-of-towners, relocators and residents about how wonderful Washington looked and how welcoming it was.

As a participant, I extend sincerest thanks and congratulations to all the volunteers for their hard work and dedication. Now, if only you could control the weather.
