Police beat July 31
Threats, harassment charges: Robert Edward Kramer Jr., 19, of 153 Meadow St., Westland, was charged by McDonald police with terroristic threats and harassment for allegedly punching Christina Manges, 14 Shady Ave., Burgettstown in the face during a June 21 incident. The charges were filed last week at the office of District Judge Gary Havelka and will be sent by summons.
Burglary, theft charges: David A. Chappel, 23, of 206 Bench Ave., Canton, was charged Monday by state police with burglary, theft, receiving stolen property and disorderly conduct. He is accused of entering the home of Matthew Smith, 154 Castle Road, Canton, and stealing a compound bow and crossbow. He then allegedly sold the bows for $220. He was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.
Driver flashed: Billie Jo Hodgson, 30, of Waynesburg, and Brittany L. Heatherington, 19, of Bellaire, Ohio, were charged Monday by state police with disorderly conduct for allegedly flashing a driver traveling east on Interstate 70 near the Claysville exit, Donegal.
Assault charges: Ryan Lee Osburn, 35, of 1041 Maiden St., Beallsville, was charged last week by Hanover police with aggravated assault and simple assault for allegedly urinating on two patrons July 20 at First Niagara Pavilion. He is also accused of punching one of those patrons in the face. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Gary Havelka.
Assault, disorderly charges: Tyler Anthony Hightower, 21, of Aliquippa, was charged last week by Hanover police with simple assault, aggravated assault, disorderly conduct and harassment. He is accused of punching Christopher Smith in the face July 16 during an incident at First Niagara Pavilion. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Gary Havelka.
Disorderly drunkenness charges: Adam M. Basinger, 31, of 137 Washington St., Jefferson, and Kevin M. Christopher, 32, of 288 Jensin Hollow Road, Carmichaels, were each charged with public drunkenness stemming from a disturbance Saturday at Garfield’s, Washington Crown Center, North Franklin police said. Christopher, who also was charged with disorderly conduct, was placed in Washington County jail on a Greene County bench warrant.
Antique bottle stolen: Joe Simon of Zanesville, Ohio, told North Franklin police Sunday a Wampole Elk Spring water bottle was stolen from his display table in May during the antiques fair at Consol Energy Park.
Girls charged: A 13-year-old Canton Township girl and 12-year-old North Franklin girl were charged with disorderly conduct stemming from a fight Friday at Washington Crown Center, North Franklin police said.
Fight on soccer field: Three men received citations for disorderly conduct following an altercation on a soccer field during a tournament, township police said. Two teams of 7-year-olds were on the field in Peterswood Park at 5:17 p.m. Saturday, when the fight broke out. A field judge attempted to intervene but was unsuccessful when, police said, one coach was accused of unsportsmanlike play during a championship game. Receiving citations through the mail are Chad Carroto, 38, of McKinley Ave., Monessen; Kenneth Dinwiddie, 38, of Forest Meadow Circle, Uniontown, Ohio; and Sean Abraham, 44, of Sixth Street, Oakmont, police said.
Necklace stolen: Dwayne T. Lewis, 120 Hineman Road, South Franklin, told state police Saturday that a gold necklace was stolen from his home.
Disorderly charge: Albert Johnson, 35, of 451 Highfield Ave., Canonsbrug, was charged by Washington police with disorderly conduct after allegedly creating a disturbance inside a bar at 88 N. Main St., Monday. Police he was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment because of his high level of intoxication.
