DUNKARD

Theft: State police are investigating the theft of tools that occurred sometime between 3 p.m. Sunday and 6 a.m. Monday. Victims, Anthony Ryals of Savannah, Mo., and Larry Reau of Lehigh Acres, Fla., told police the tools were removed from a location near the railroad tracks along Route 88 in the area of Poland Mines.


JEFFERSON

Accident: Police said Ronald L. May, Jr., 43, of Carmichaels was backing up within a work zone on Route 21 near Jensen Hollow Road on July 24 when he struck a vehicle driven by John Bowers, 30, of Masontown. Bowers was conducting roadside spraying when the accident occurred. May’s passengers, Timothy Basinger, 60, of Waynesburg, and Nathan Lohr, 32, of Carmichaels, reported minor injuries but were not transported for treatment. A passenger in Bower’s vehicle, Christopher Keedy, 26, of Dawson was not injured. All occupants of both vehicles were wearing lap and shoulder restraints.


RICES LANDING

Theft: The Rices Landing Borough informed police that someone removed four gasoline cans containing an undetermined amount of fuel from the borough storage shed at 146 Bayard Ave. sometime between 2 p.m. July 25 and 11 a.m. Sunday.
