Who’s in charge here?

  • August 12, 2013

Whoever is in charge of maintaining the roads in Washington is making conditions unsafe for everyone. I say “whoever” because it’s obvious no one wants to take responsibility.

How long did it take to fix College Street? That road has been horrible since I was a little kid and now I’m 30. Almost every road in Washington is in the same dire need of repair. I have to drive down the wrong side of some streets just because I don’t want to break the suspension in my car, tear up a rim, or tear something else off the bottom my car.

I’m tired of driving around this town with the feeling I have four flat tires and a busted suspension even though my car is brand new. How are you supposed to tell there is something wrong with your car when the road is so horrible? Why do I pay taxes when the city of Washington doesn’t do anything for its citizens?
