Police beat Aug. 14
Home burglarized: Stacey Lee Haney of 1049 McAdams Road, Amwell, told state police Aug. 4 that water and electric lines, a refrigerator, stove, air conditioning unit and woodburning stove were stolen from her home.
Power tools stolen: Nathan T. Froats of 1067 S. Sunset Beach Road, Buffalo, told state police Tuesday that power tools were stolen from his shed.
Sheds entered: Randy Brownlee of Oakdale told Chartiers police Friday that several tin sheds in the 600 block of Champion Alley were entered. Items stolen include a riding lawn mower, lathe machine, diesel engine, rototiller and scrap metal.
Home burglarized: Peggy McConn of Lake Road told Donegal police that her home was burglarized between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m. Monday. The burglar removed a screen and forced open a window to enter the residence. Stolen was a pearl necklace and cash. Anyone with information is asked to call Donegal police at 724-484-4023.
Counterfeit money: A counterfeit $10 bill was found Friday in a teller’s cage at the Meadows Racetrack & Casino, 210 Racetrack Road, North Strabane, state police said.
Trespass charge: Otis J. Brown, 44, of Pittsburgh, was charged with criminal trespass after he was found Saturday at The Meadows Racetrack & Casino, 210 Racetrack Road, North Strabane, state police said. He was not permitted to be at the casino.
Son jailed in assault: Nathaniel Brice, 23, of 225 S. College St., Washington, was arrested Monday by Washington police for allegedly assaulting and robbing his mother at her home at 221 S. College. Lurrie Wilkins, 44, told police that Brice stabbed her in the face, neck and chest and stole $60 along with her cellphone. He was found a short time later in Jollick Manor. Wilkins refused treatment. Brice was arraigned before District Judge James Ellis on charges of robbery, aggravated assault, robbery, reckless endangerment and harassment. He was placed in Washington County jail on $50,000 bond.
Door kicked open: Cara Elliott of 214 Lincoln Terrace told Washington police Monday the door to her home had been kicked open.
Tractor, tools stolen: David Parker of 795 Duncan Ave. told Washington police Monday that his lawn tractor, compressor, nail gun, framing gun and staple gun were stolen from his home.
Vehicle entered: Justin Mlatnik told Washington police that a pair of Oakley sunglasses, iPod and global positioning system were stolen from his car while it was parked near his home in the 300 block of Shirls Avenue Monday.
Possession: Jesse Kraus, 19, of 1211 Pine Hollow Road, Washington, was charged with possession and possession with intent to deliver drugs and driving with a suspended license after city police pulled him over on Aug. 7. According to court documents, police found a baggie of cocaine and 48 capsules containing methamphetamine in a small pouch near the driver’s seat. A summons will be sent through the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
