Two face charges: Phillip Stanger, 26, and Kristen Mull, 23, both of Rices Landing, each will be charged by California police with theft and receiving stolen property. The two are accused of stealing $10,000 in household items, jewelry and cash May 17 from a home on Kaukonen Avenue where they were living. The charges will be sent from the office of District Judge Joshua Kanalis.


Bicycle stolen: Patricia Poremski of 203 Murdock St., told Canonsburg police Wednesday that a black Mongoose bicycle was stolen from her yard.


Arraigned on warrant: Martha L. May, 43, of 617 N. Main St., Washington, was arraigned Wednesday on charges of possession of narcotics and paraphernalia. She is accused of tossing the drugs out of a vehicle during a traffic stop Aug. 31, 2012, on Henderson Avenue near Airport Road, Canton. She was a passenger. May was arraigned before District Judge David Mark and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.


Drug arrests: Jacob Kronemer, 39, and John Romantino, 49, both of 606 Fallowfield Ave. Rear, are being held in a drug case after police were called about 9:15 Tuesday for a possible overdose at their residence, court records show. Charleroi Regional police said 20 empty heroin stamp bags and one full bag of the drug were found in the residence, where they returned the next day to arrest the men on probation violations. Police accused Kronemer of attempting to hide the heroin Tuesday and Romantino of giving the other man Klonopin pills. Kronemer is charged with drug possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with evidence. Romantino is charged with possession with intent to deliver. Both suspects are in Washington County jail on $10,000 bonds set by District Judge Mark Wilson.


Vehicle damaged: Chelsea Dunn of Houston told state police Wednesday that a tire was slashed on her vehicle and sugar placed in gasoline tank while it was parked at 15 McNary St., Houston.


Dealer charged: Jared Scott Ellwood, 25, of 838 Governors Circle, Washington, was charged Monday by state police at The Meadows Racetrack & Casino with violating the state gaming statute and theft by deception. Ellwood, who worked at the casino as a dealer, is accused of overpaying on three bets and paying on a losing bet. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Drug charges: Thomas C. Papakie, 47, of 3230 Millers Run Road, Cecil, was charged Monday by state police at The Meadows Racetrack & Casino with possession of cocaine and paraphernalia after an employee saw him drop a bag of the drug on the casino floor May 16. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.


Numerous charges: James Collins II, 43, of 340 Brigich Road, Chartiers Township, was charged by South Strabane police with driving under the influence of alcohol, false identification and traffic violations. Collins told police that he was 23. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.


Construction items stolen: Three ladders and soffit material were reported stolen between Tuesday and Wednesday from the construction site of the new Dollar General, 6239 Route 88, Union, Southwest Regional police said. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-929-8484.


Woman jailed: Sandra Sheppard, 30, of 681 1/2 Fayette St., Washington, is charged by city police with conspiracy to rob Keith Jackson about 8 p.m. Wednesday in the 400 block of Meadow Ave., court records show. Police said the victim pulled out a gun and gave chase after one of the robbery suspects threw a brick through a window on his vehicle. Sheppard is in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond set by District Judge Mark Wilson.

Bar entered: The glass front door of Tuscan Tavern, 21 E. Chestnut St., was broken by someone who entered the business early Thursday and stole money from a jukebox, police said.

Assault case: Misty S. Hewitt, 30, of 281 Locust Ave., Washington, is charged by city police in a summons with simple assault. She is accused of striking Steven Bodnar in the face about 9:15 a.m. Wednesday in her residence, court records show.

Endangerment charge: Jennifer Reedy, 32, of 446 Extension Ave., Washington, is accused by city police of overdosing her two children, ages 4 and 3, with over-the-counter sleeping pills about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, court records show. She is charged in a summons with endangering the welfare of children.
