Greene County pleaders

WAYNESBURG – Several people pleaded guilty Wednesday before Greene County Judge Farley Toothman. They included:


Justin Terry Morris, 21, of 628 E. High St., Waynesburg; offense – statutory sexual assault. Charges of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, corruption of minors and indecent assault of a person less than 16 were withdrawn. Morris was arrested March 7 following an investigation into allegations that he had sex with someone under the age of 16 on multiple occasions starting in June of last year; sentence – nine months to 23 ½ months incarceration with work release for the purposes of continuing his education at Waynesburg University or another institution of higher learning, 125 hours of community service, and ordered to pay $750 in fines, plus court costs and fees. He is to have no contact with the victim.


Dorothy Elaine Shubert, 37, of 126 Adelaide Ave., Bobtown; offenses – acquisition by misrepresentation, possession of a controlled substance and forgery. Shubert was arrested for presenting fake prescriptions for Adderall, a controlled substance, at the Waynesburg Walmart June 28, 2012, and at the Waynesburg CVS Pharmacy May 29 of this year. Police said Shubert printed the prescriptions on her computer and forged the signature of Mona Counts, Phd., CRNP; sentence – one to five years in jail with credit for time served and eligibility for the Risk Recidivism Reduction Incentive in nine months. Shubert is also required to pay $750 in fines, plus court costs and fees.


James William Whoolery, 34, of 354 N. Porter St., Waynesburg; offenses – driving under the influence of alcohol and two summary traffic violations. Whoolery was arrested on April 3 when police responded to an accident near Barnhart Road in Franklin Township and found that a vehicle had struck a tree. A towing operator told police Whoolery had left and could be located at his residence. His blood-alcohol content was 0.159 percent; sentence – 48 hours to 6 months incarceration, 50 hours of community service, $785 in fines, plus court costs and fees.


John Robert Fahey, 29, of 2214 Garards Fort Road, Waynesburg; offenses – DUI and one summary traffic violation. Fahey was arrested Feb. 2 on the north side of Crooked Alley in Waynesburg. Police said he was speeding and his struck rocked as if it may tip over. His BAC was 0.197 percent; sentence – a sentence will be imposed at a later date following a presentence investigation.


Leanne Frances Fonner, 40, of 361 Waterdam Road, Waynesburg; offenses – DUI with refusal to be tested, accident resulting in injury or death, accident involving damage to personal property, reckless driving and three summary traffic violations. Fonner was arrested on Jan. 27 at Tommy Boys Tavern after leaving the scene of an accident. Police said Fonner struck the back of a vehicle stopped for the traffic light near the Waynesburg Sheetz on Route 21. The impact caused the vehicle to strike a third vehicle in front of it. All parties were injured. A witness said Fonner left the scene; sentence – 72 hours to 23 months incarceration, 100 hours of community service, $1,535 in fines, plus court costs and fees.


Steven Scott Williams, 29, of 100 W. Cherry Ave., Washington; offenses – possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and a summary traffic violation. Williams was arrested May 28 on Barton Hollow Road, Waynesburg. Police said there was a GPS unit in place of the rearview mirror in a vehicle Williams was operating. When they ran the vehicle information it came back to a Tabitha Williams, who had an outstanding warrant. She was not in the vehicle. Police also found that Williams was driving on a suspended license. When they conducted a search he was found to be in possession of 24 stamp bags of heroin; sentence –43 days to one year incarceration, 150 hours of community service, and $950 in fines, plus court costs and fees.
