Waynesburg man killed in head-on collision

A Waynesburg man was killed after a head-on collision near Rogersville in Greene County Friday.

Alan J. Berry, 30, of 54 N. Morris St., Apartment 6, died following an accident on Route 21 near McQuay Road. According to state police, Berry’s vehicle collided with a vehicle driven by Kevin Guthrie, 64, of 878 Whitehorn Run Road, Graysville.

Police said Berry was traveling east on Route 21 when his vehicle traveled into the westbound lane while maneuvering a curve in the roadway. The two vehicles struck head-on.

Both drivers were transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va., where Berry was pronounced dead.
