CALIFORNIA

DUI, mischief charges: Ryan Catone, 23, of Irwin, will be charged by California police with driving under the influence of alcohol and criminal mischief after he crashed his sport utility vehicle into a utility pole near Ash Street and Monroe Way early Wednesday.Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Joshua Kanalis.


CECIL

Two charged: Douglas E. Wiley, 42, of Pittsburgh, and Thomas Abare, 30, of West Springfield, Mass., were charged Friday by Cecil police with forgery, theft by deception, bad checks and criminal conspiracy for allegedly stealing checks from Horizon Properties that had been cut to a vendor. The two allegedly cashed the two checks for about $1,100. The two men are in Allegheny County jail and will be arraigned next week before District Judge Valarie Costanzo.


ELLSWORTH

One-vehicle crash: State police said Shelly White, 33, of Bentleyville, will be charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia after the vehicle she was driving struck a concrete barrier on South Pine Street about 1:25 a.m. Wednesday.


McDONALD

Theft, receiving charge: Richard Brooks Dyer, 31, of Muenster, Texas, was arrested Wednesday by McDonald police with theft, receiving stolen property and access device fraud. Dyer had been fired from ULC Oil & Gas Services, 115 Johns Ave., McDonald, but kept the company’s Fuelman and CLC Lodging cards. He used the lodging card for rooms at two Pittsburgh hotels for $1,555 and gas cards at stations in West Virginia for $3,951 earlier this month. He was arraigned before District Judge Valarie Costanzo and placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.


MT. PLEASANT

Harassment charge: Joseph A. Carapucci, 45, of Mingo Junction, Ohio, was charged Tuesday by Mt. Pleasant police with harassment after he allegedly threatened Brian O’Donnell, 253 McCarrell Road, via text messages and voice mail after he was fired by O’Donnell. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Valarie Costanzo.


Forgery, theft charges: Melissa Lynn Eakin, 42, of Cochranton, Crawford County, was charged Tuesday with forgery and theft for allegedly taking a check left by Robyn Kennedy at 7 Salvini Lane, Mt. Pleasant for a supplier on June 20.The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Valarie Costanzo.


NORTH STRABANE

Drug charges: David Eugene Mollner II, of 1206 Pioneer Trail, North Strabane, was charged by township police with possession of illegal steriods after the suspected drug was found July 25 in his room during a compliance check by adult probation. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.


ROBINSON

Burglary, theft charges: David Glenn Thiele Jr., 36, of 1141 Robinson Highway, Robinson, was arrested Wednesday by McDonald police for allegedly stealing copper wire from Reaxis Chemical, 941 Robinson Highway, July 23. Thiele is accused of cutting the fence to the property and stealing spools of the wire. Police traced pieces of black plastic spools from the company to a wooded area behind Thiele’s home. Thiele was arraigned before District Judge David Mark on charges of burglary, theft, receiving stolen property, criminal trespass and criminal mischief. He was placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.


Three charged: Douglas Head, of 1465 Candor Road, Bulger, and Kimberly McLaughlin-McAfee and Richard McAfee Jr., both of Oakdale, were charged in a private criminal complaint with criminal trespass by representatives of Spagnolo Construction of Wexford. The house was secured by the construction company after the three failed to make a final payment of $43,000 for the residence. They are accused of having the locks changed and allowing Head to move into the house. The charges, approved Monday by an assistant district attorney, will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Valarie Costanzo.


SOUTH STRABANE

Fraud attempt: Phillis and Calvin Williams of St. Louis, Mo., told South Strabane police about 4:20 a.m. Thursday that a caller claiming to be a desk clerk where they were staying at Spring Hill Suites, Trinity Point, called and said there was a problem with their credit card. The alleged clerk tried to get them to provide the card information over the telephone, but Calvin Williams instead went to the front desk. The desk clerk did not make the call nor was there a problem with the card.


WASHINGTON

Disorderly conduct charges: Cheryn Isbell, 59, of 97 W. Walnut St., Washington, was cited for disorderly conduct on two separate occasions Wednesday after city police said she caused disturbances twice in less than three hours. Police said she was harassing store patrons in the 500 block of Jefferson Avenue about 2:45 p.m. and later found yelling at people near her home at 5:30 p.m.


Harassment charge: City police said they cited Edward Toth, 50, of 984 Jefferson Ave., Washington, with disorderly conduct and harassment after he allegedly pushed a woman in the hallway of his apartment building about 8:15 p.m. Wednesday. Police said they found Toth with an open beer when they stopped him outside the apartment building.


Charged in disturbance: Washington police cited Kathy Moreira, 52, with disorderly conduct after officers said she was causing a disturbance shortly after 8 a.m. Wednesday while staying at Safe Haven, 240 N. College St.
