: Police beat Aug. 26

Harassment charge: Jeffrey Lee Gump, 53, of 140 Brook Ave., told police Friday that Jeffrey L. White, 51, of Washington, called him several times threatening to assault him and cause property damage. Charges of harassment were filed against White in District Court.


Accidental fire investigation: The electrical system is being pinpointed as the cause of a fire at a mobile home unit at 17 Vankirk Rd. Saturday afternoon, according to police. Shane W. Moyers, 39, of McKees Rocks, was inside the mobile home when the fire broke out. He was treated for smoke inhalation at Washington Hospital. The cost of the damage is estimated at more than $20,000.


Theft: Frank Glessner, of 2779 S. Bridge Rd., told police that someone stole a weed sprayer and red toolbox from his garage between 11 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday.


Public drunkenness charge: Edward Thomas, 75, of Marianna, told police that William Popp, 50, also of Marianna, was intoxicated in the middle of Barnard Avenue Saturday, yelling obscenities and harassing him. Popp received a non-traffic citation for public drunkenness and harassment.


Theft: William Descutner, of 225 Third St., told police that someone stole a weed eater from his property between Aug. 18 and Wednesday.


Criminal mischief: Someone shattered a glass door in an outbuilding at the Kubota tractor dealership at 1006 E. Greene St. Tuesday or Wednesday, police said.
