BURGETTSTOWN

Paraphernalia charge: Jason D. Simons, 34, of 47 Stella St., Burgettstown, was charged Monday by McDonald police with possession of paraphernalia after he allegedly was found with three needles and three empty stamp bags of suspected heroin. Police were called to his home Aug. 16 after he reportedly was found unconscious on the bathroom floor following a suspected overdose. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Gary Havelka.


CANONSBURG

Charged in crash: Bernard Saul Edmonds IV, 29, of 108 Cancilla Drive, Canonsburg, faces charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, careless driving and reckless driving after crashing his vehicle in to a parked vehicle, railroad ties and a porch in the 400 block of Highfield Avenue early Saturday, Canonsburg police said. Blood was drawn to determine his blood-alcohol content.


Items stolen: Tim Hawk of 430 Giffin Ave. told Canonsburg police Saturday that several items have been stolen from his vehicle, including a global-positioning system.


Police called three times: Canonsburg police were called three times early Saturday for incidents involving Brenda Yahweh-Wilson, 49, and her 47-year-old brother, Richard Lacks, both of 628 Euclid Ave., Canonsburg. Police were first called to the Hofbrau, Highland Avenue, for a report of a disturbance. Police said Yahweh-Wilson was asked to leave by the bartender because she was giving beer to her brother, who was intoxicated, after the bartender refused to serve him. Police said she was yelling obscenities. Yahweh-Wilson was charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication. A short time later, police were called to their home after Lacks reportedly grabbed his sister’s arm. He was charged with harassment. Less than two hours later, police were called back after Lacks allegedly punched his sister in the eye. Police said he will be charged by summons with simple assault.


CANTON

Home burglarized: A home at 196 Bench Ave. in Canton Township was burglarized between 12:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Sunday. The homeowner told state police only a television was taken from the residence.


CENTERVILLE

Charged in crash: Justin Landis, 20, of 413 Union St., Brownsville, was charged by Centerville police with DUI while a minor, minor operating a vehicle with alcohol, driving without a license and reckless driving. Police were called June 7 to 955 Old National Pike for a report that a vehicle had hit a tree and overturned. Landis and his two passengers were not injured. Landis reportedly told police he was driving too fast and lost control. Police said his BAC was almost seven times the 0.02 percent limit for those younger than 21. Charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Joshua Kanalis.


DUI, other charges: Melinda Headlee, 40, of 1145 First St., Denbo, was charged by Centerville police in connection with a July 18 crash at First and Main streets. Police said she almost hit Joshua McQuillis while backing out of her driveway. McQuillis told police he had to run to get out of her way. Headlee claimed her brakes failed, but police said she was found to be under the influence of Clonazepam. She was charged with DUI of drugs, reckless endangerment and several traffic violations. Charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Joshua Kanalis.


DONEGAL

Diesel fuel stolen: A trucker told state police someone siphoned 25 gallons of diesel fuel from his tractor-trailer early Sunday while the rig was parked at the Petro Truck Stop off the Interstate 70 Claysville exit.


NORTH STRABANE

Charged in crash: Ryan Gutkowski, 32, of Boyce, Va., was arrested Friday by North Strabane police on charges of DUI and leaving the scene of a crash. He reportedly struck the back of a vehicle driven by Dustin Henry, 35, of 2021 Meadowridge Drive, Washington, on Racetrack Road near Route 19 and fled. He was found by police a short time later on Weavertown Road. Police said his BAC was three times the 0.08 percent limit presumed for intoxication. Gutkowski was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.


Money stolen: Haley P. Vilenica of 1038 Bayberry Court, Canonsburg, told North Strabane police Saturday that $25 was stolen from her wallet while it was in her vehicle parked at The Meadows Racetrack & Casino.


PETERS

Jewelry theft: A resident in the 100 block of Lakeview Drive told township police that five pieces of jewelry, valued at more than $9,000, are missing from the house.The report was made at 5:15 p.m. Sunday.


SOUTH STRABANE

Retail theft charge: Tara Konjelka-Brown, 44, of 439 Green St., Brownsville, will be charged with retail theft by South Strabane police after she allegedly tried to steal items from Giant Eagle, Strabane Square, Saturday. Store security tried to detain her, but she reportedly broke free. The felony charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.


UNION

Theft: An employee of Walter Long Manufacturing told state police hundreds of pounds of aluminum and a 10-foot-long piece of stainless steel were stolen from a facility in Union Township before Aug. 20.


WASHINGTON

Man accused of assault: Brandon L. Washington, 30, of 130 May Ave., Washington, was charged with burglary, theft, criminal mischief and simple assault after city police said he attacked his neighbor in their apartment building Aug. 10 and stole a small amount of money.


Two accused of fighting: Greg Terrell, 22, of 89 W. Walnut St., and Carlesha Cohen, 23, of 675 Addison St., were cited for harassment and disorderly following a fight at Terrell’s residence about 9 a.m. Friday, Washington police said.


Disorderly conduct charge: Washington police said they cited Walter L. Turner, 42, of 152 Meadows St., Westland, for disorderly conduct following a fight with a woman at 188 Jollick Manor shortly after 8 p.m. Sunday.


Harassment charge: Randy Lane, 36, of 976 Addison St., Washington, was cited for harassment after city police said he pulled a woman to the ground during an argument at his residence at 10:35 p.m. Sunday.


Residence burglarized: A resident at 620 Duncan Ave. told city police someone broke into the house and ransacked it Friday. Police said the resident was not sure if anything was stolen from the home.


Theft charge: Kara Odom, 19, of 1255 Summerlea Ave., Washington, was charged with theft after city police said she took a cellphone, shoes and clothes July 11 while staying with a woman in the 800 block of Ewing Street.


Two charged with assault: Washington police said they charged Kassi Dillard, 28, of 870 Ewing St., and Helena D. Fischer, 36, of 805 Ewing St., with simple assault following a fight Aug. 9 near their residences. Police said they were called to the area after witnesses found Fischer lying in the street.
