U.S. Navy veteran enjoyed woodworking
William Thomas Conley Jr., 60, of Washington, died Thursday, August 29, 2013, in UPMC-Presbyterian hospital, Oakland.
He was born November 30, 1952, in Pittsburgh, a son of William Thomas Conley Sr. of Pittsburgh and the late Ann Owens Conley.
Mr. Conley was a graduate of Bethel Park High School and had worked in construction with Laborers Local 373.
He enjoyed woodworking.
A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served during the Vietnam War from June 16, 1970, until his honorable discharge May 29, 1974. For his service, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device and the Navy Unit Commendation Medal.
On November 18, 2011, he married Patricia Pollock, who survives.
Also surviving are two brothers, John (Michelle) Conley of Peters Township and Michael Conley of Erie, and a sister, Sharon (Rich) Burdelsky of Bethel Park.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 3, in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township, with Pastor Jeff Lukacs officiating.
Military rites will be accorded graveside by Edwin Scott Linton Post 175 of the American Legion.
