BURGETTSTOWN

Burglary reported: Ramona Cumpston, of 19 Studa St., Burgettstown, told McDonald police Monday a flat-screen television was stolen during a burglary of her home. The burglar entered through an open window, police said.


CALIFORNIA

Disorderly charges: Jerome Stewart, 30, and Tiffany Stewart, 30, both of California, were charged Tuesday by California police with disorderly conduct after they allegedly got into a confrontation in front of the borough building.


CANONSBURG

Pedestrian hit: Rachel Vigoletti, 29, of 120 E. Pike St., Canonsburg, was injured Wednesday afternoon when she was struck by a car driven by David A. Bier, 82, of 538 Fairmeadow Drive, Chartiers Township, in a parking lot on Pike Street, Canonsburg police said. Bier told police he did not see the woman. She was taken to Canonsburg General Hospital for treatment of a possible broken ankle.


CHARLEROI

Burglary arrest: Matthew Martin Hill, 20, of 115 Luella Ave., Charleroi, was arrested Wednesday by Charleroi Regional police after he allegedly stole several rings in a burglary of the home of Kathleen Cole, 219 Meadow Ave., in late August or early September. He reportedly sold the rings at a pawn in Monessen. Hill was arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins on charges of burglary, theft and criminal trespass. He was placed in Washington County jail on $100,000 bond.


CHARTIERS

Burglary reported: Monica Brooks, 257 1/2 Cherry Ave., told Chartiers police Tuesday that a flat-screen television, Xbox and Playstation were stolen in a burglary of her home. The burglar forced open the front door.


Home burglarized: Brian McCann, 569 Pike St., told Chartiers police Saturday that a flat-screen television, laptop, tablet, knives and DVD player were stolen from his home.


Gymnasium theft: A cordless drill, drill bits and socket set were stolen from Stanley Hall, 349 Arden Road, Chartiers police said. Carol Baker reported the theft Saturday.


Package stolen: Shari Gabriel, 550 Allison Hollow Road, told Chartiers police Friday that a package that had been delivered was stolen from outside her home.


ATV found: A Yamaha Kodiak all-terrain vehicle was found Wednesday in weeds in a pull-off area off Country Club road, Chartiers police said.


One injured: Kyonna Jackson, 23, of 354 Barnickle St., Meadow Lands, was hurt when the car in which she was a passenger, driven by Zachary L. Fisher, 20, of 235 E. Hallam Ave., Washington, was hit from behind by a vehicle driven by Justin K. Valentin, 29, of Monessen. Fisher was stopped on Pike Street about 1:40 p.m. Wednesday to turn left onto Barnickle when his vehicle was hit, police said. Jackson went to Canonsburg General Hospital for treatment.


INDEPENDENCE

Two charged: Jesse Andrew Charnik, 24, and Kayla Bauer, 21, both of 38 Homestead Drive, Independence, were each charged Wednesday by McDonald police with possession of drug paraphernalia after they were found with suspected paraphernalia at their home Aug. 29. Police had gone with adult probation to the residence to take Charnik into custody on a probation violation. A crack pipe, empty stamp bags of suspected heroin, test kit and scale were found in Charnik’s room. A syringe was found in Bauer’s purse. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Ethan Ward.


ATV charges: A 17-year-old Independence boy was charged Wednesday with driving an all-terrain vehicle on the road after crashing into a fence last month while riding on Hillside Way, Independence. McDonald police had received a complaint of ATVs on road and the boy was trying to get away from the officer when he crashed into the fence. Another ATV rider fled the scene.


McDONALD

Converters reported stolen: George Yetsick told McDonald police Tuesday that two catalytic converters were stolen from a vehicle parked at his McDonald Auto, 390 E. O’Hare St., McDonald.


Harassment charge: Carrie Hornak, 51, of 109 W. Lincoln Ave., McDonald, was charged Wednesday by McDonald police with harassment for allegedly harassing Jennifer Bradburn of McDonald via Facebook. She also allegedly sent threatening text messages. Police had warned Hornak in the past about her actions. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Valarie Costanzo.


NORTH STRABANE

Trespass charge: Edward J. McCauley of Pittsburgh was charged by state police with criminal trespass after he was found on the gaming floor at The Meadows Racetrack & Casino, North Strabane, on Tuesday. He was not permitted to be at the casino, police said.
