Marijuana, paraphernalia charges: Parrish Middlebrook, 20, of Clairton, will be charged by state police with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia stemming from a traffic stop early Sunday near the Cross Street Apartments. He was a passenger in the vehicle. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Joshua Kanalis.


Burglary reported: Justin Molla, 426 Cardinal Drive, Hendersonville, told police he returned home at about 9 p.m. Monday to find his residence was burglarized, township police said. Stolen were a Xbox 360 and 10 games, police said. Jewelry was moved, but it is unknown if anything was stolen, police said. The front door was unlatched and there was no sign of forced entry. The burglary was reported at 10:45 p.m. Monday.


Loitering, harassment charges: Andrew E. White, 41, of 970 Fayette St., Washington, was arrested early Wednesday by McDonald police after he twice tried to force his way into the apartment of his former wife, Lucille White, at 101 S. McDonald St., McDonald. He first tried to enter about 12:40 a.m. but fled before police arrived. He reportedly returned at 6:20 a.m. and started kicking the door. He again fled before police arrived but was nabbed on a transit bus as he tried to leave McDonald. White was arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka on charges of loitering and prowling at night, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and harassment. He was placed in Washington County jail on $1,500 bond.


Two injured: Albert Battaglini, 32, of Connellsville, and Robert Streyle, 47, of Scenery Hill, were injured Monday in a two-vehicle crash on Route 40 (National Pike) at Route 917, North Bethlehem. State police said Battaglini was going east on Route 40 when he made a left turn in the path of Streyle, who was going west. Both drivers were taken to Washington Hospital. Battaglini will be charged with driving with a suspended license and other traffic violations.


House, garage hit: Paul Bucciarelli, 85, of 54 Poplar St., North Strabane, escaped serious injury Tuesday afternoon when his vehicle hit a mailbox and garage before hitting a house at 112 Poplar, North Strabane police said. Bucciarelli was driving north on Poplar when his vehicle hit the mailbox at 110 Poplar. His vehicle continued across a cul-de-sac and struck a garage at 111 Poplar, damaging a vehicle inside. A witness told police that Bucciarelli then backed his vehicle up and crashed into a home at 112 Poplar, leaving an 8- to 10-foot hole. He then sped off before his vehicle abruptly came to a stop. He was checked at the scene by emergency medical personnel.

Wires downed: Julio C. Pena Alberto, 45, of Miami, Fla., faces several charges after the tractor-trailer he was driving pulled down wires at the intersection of Route 19 and Boot Road Monday afternoon, forcing North Strabane police to close the road for several hours. Police will charge him with violating weight restrictions and having false entries in the log book. The trucking company, LD Express of Hollywood, Fla., will also be cited. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.


Drug charge: Roosevelt B. Archie, 28, of 38 Mountview Drive, Burgettstown, was charged Wednesday by McDonald police with possession of ecstasy and paraphernalia after he was found with the suspected drug during a traffic stop on Robinson Highway on Sept. 1. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Valarie Costanzo.


Assault, harassment charges: Brent J. Bittner, 45, of Carnegie, will be charged by South Strabane police with simple assault and harassment after he allegedly punched a co-worker, Francis Boes, 44, of Bethel Park, in the face. The two men were working Tuesday at a new construction site at Cameron Estates. Boes was taken to Canonsburg General Hospital for treatment. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.


Woman arrested: Trisa Lynn Stickle, 21, of 1908 Hunters Ridge Road, Brownsville, was arrested Tuesday by Charleroi Regional police on charges of receiving stolen property and possession of drugs after she was found in a stolen van at the Buy 'N Fly, Speers. The van had been reported stolen in Latrobe. She was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.


Grates, gutters stolen: A worker at South Park Mobile Estates, 120 Hidden Valley Drive, Union, told Southwest Regional police Tuesday that four sewer grates, aluminum siding and gutters were stolen from a maintenance garage. A dark pickup truck was seen in the area Monday night. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-929-8484.
